Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop

happybirthdaysequinsmaureenplut

Good morning!  Welcome to my Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop post.  AGAIN, I was going to sit this one out, hoping and praying that this sequins trend doesn’t last very long. I’m still in love with gems and enamel dots.  BUT, in the spirit of making an informed decision,  I headed to Michaels and found a beautiful little rainbow pack…

Right beside it, though, I saw these pretty little flowers that I added to my card today and thought they might be the route to go in convincing me to jump on this trend.  I do love all the glitz!  Thanks for visiting!  What’s your opinion on sequins?  Love it, will try it, too finicky, not into it at all?

Oh this is so fabulous Moe! You know I love the CAS design and the sequin blooms are fabulous.

Not sure about the trend yet...don't like the idea that the sequins are generally one size and don't have adhesive built in like a gem...lazy on my part :)

Beautiful card.

I think I'm lazy and like my stuff to have adhesive built in ;) Gorgeous flowers, Moe! Love this relatively CAS design and the leaves of the flowers really are pretty!!

I am really into enamel dots lately too and I've always loved pearls and gems. I've been trying really hard not to buy sequins but broke down the other day and ordered some. Not sure if I'll like them as well but we'll see. . . .

I love your flower-filled jar, Maureen! It's a darling card! :)

I'm with you, I looked and looked and no where in my craft room do I have sequins...and I have boys, so they don't have any sequins.. so sitting it out and LOVE your project.

Your card is fantastic Maureen. I really love the flowers you added. As far as sequins, I was surprised to see the trend starting. I'm not a big fan of them, but that's probably because I spent years picking them up off the floor since they always seemed to fall off my girls' dress up clothes. LOL!!!

What a great way to use those little flower sequins! I'll have to go to Michael's and pick up some of those and the variety pack!

Lovely! And what a great idea to combine the sequins with the metal leaves! I really like the trend although I always struggle with the placement :)

I found it hard to include the sequins on my card too. Your flower sequins mixed with the extra gems are a perfect solution!!

Beautiful and tastefully done. Think of sequins as something rather garish, but they do grab attention!

Your card is just beautiful! Great job of using your sequins. I'm hoping it's a quick fad and in that context I made my own sequins hoping to get by with having just a few.

Darling card...the sequins are really cute as flowers. I've stayed away from sequins because of adhesive anxiety associated with the thought of affixing them neatly.

Beautiful card. I love your flower sequins! I was at Micheal's on Sat. in Calif. and did not see any sequins as pretty as yours.

Love your sweet little card! I didn't know sequins came in flower shape like this! So cute!

Very pretty card. I love the jar full of flowers with the sparkly centers.

You go girl :) Well done with the sequins. Great image and take on the challenge. Not a trend I'm interested in - no glue on them so have to fiddle with adhering them!

What a sweet card! I have to say--I'm more into gems & pearls, but I've had a mixed packet of sequins for years & now with international shipping so outrageous I may have to switch to using sequins--they are flat & come in pretty colors.

Great find ~ those are such pretty sequins. Love you beautiful card~how can you go wrong with a mason jar full of flowers? ;)

Indifferent myself, which is why I didn't buy that same pack of sequins! ;)

I LOVE how you used the flowers instead of a conventional sequin. Such a fun spring card!

So pretty! Love the purple and green colour scheme.

I bought a bunch of sequins but am also not sold yet. I love the sparkle, but they are a bit of a pain in the butt to glue on and handle...

This is so very pretty. I am with you about not really keen on sequins. You did a beautiful job on your card. Love it and thanks for the comment on my blog.
