Wow! It's been ages again since I've posted. Still card making, just not blogging. I had high hopes of posting more this summer, but we had a glorious, smoke-free summer so I spent most of it outdoors. So here I am on the last day of summer holidays, looking for a fun challenge. I grabbed some die cuts from my stash and stamped this sweet apple sentiment for a Fall card for<a href="https://reverseconfetti.com/blogs/posts/stock-your-stash-25"> Reverse Confetti's Stock Your Stash challenge</a>. Teacher cards are still my favourite :) Take care, friends. I am happy to report that I have my new class and they are just the sweetest! I can't wait to really get to know them...that's when the magic happens...when you have a good solid relationship with them. This card has been waiting on my desk all week. I had die cut and stamped the flowers and shapes last Monday, but didn't have the energy to adhere everything together. But this morning, with my coffee, I went back down to the studio and finished it off. This is for the <a href="https://reverseconfetti.com/blogs/posts/stock-your-stash-19">Stock Your Stash Challenge</a>. We are asked to make a Fall/Halloween themed card. Well, I chose Fall colours and will be sending this to a friend with a Fall Birthday :) Now, I have to tell you that this is a very close CASE to this <a href="http://inkingontheedge.blogspot.com/2014/06/reverse-confettids-155-ctd-296thanks.html">GORGEOUS CARD </a>I've been saving on my Card Pinterest board. If you look at the date, it's from 2014! I saved it because I love the way Tara stamped and stacked the Reverse Confetti flowers. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend! The first weekend of the year for a teacher is one of the sweetest!</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyI5EfNpY9dUymxVR0FbEuiQOo6xKoNx4H-Vbc8eSjOMIfHM1J90ue22wCCRF6H5u38MoqeusRgYYrTmgBSOabRkDbTP6FANNV2ao5NKDSsUHvLCKkimO3XEjMjy0cWV_ioNBvoWYosbnb/s166/signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="46" data-original-width="166" height="46" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyI5EfNpY9dUymxVR0FbEuiQOo6xKoNx4H-Vbc8eSjOMIfHM1J90ue22wCCRF6H5u38MoqeusRgYYrTmgBSOabRkDbTP6FANNV2ao5NKDSsUHvLCKkimO3XEjMjy0cWV_ioNBvoWYosbnb/s0/signature.png" width="166" /></a></div> <p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="" height="204" src="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0007/5389/3420/files/SEPTEMBER_624ce5c9-0e66-498e-9404-cdd7da8000ae_480x480.png?v=1630444261" width="205" /></p><p> </p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><br /></p>Maureenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18207530032440129282noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6263186914071670773.post-47971182000924900862021-09-06T12:08:00.007-07:002021-09-06T12:08:38.268-07:00Sent with Lots of Love ~ Colour Throwdown Challenge<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7a-UaWqmkKvOhNhCA8YtQYq60wDoZ7qmShGx5YpxFyULLWmq1LSBUET1hqX3LD9PKDTUjGpsxnYSgmOIJoy8GoQqHVrF2VYhg5OdS2ec2U0VQVHs7a7QflLrVrafm7QC6mv1ZrRizIVr3/s511/lotsoflovemaureenplut.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="511" data-original-width="424" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7a-UaWqmkKvOhNhCA8YtQYq60wDoZ7qmShGx5YpxFyULLWmq1LSBUET1hqX3LD9PKDTUjGpsxnYSgmOIJoy8GoQqHVrF2VYhg5OdS2ec2U0VQVHs7a7QflLrVrafm7QC6mv1ZrRizIVr3/w333-h400/lotsoflovemaureenplut.JPG" width="333" /></a></div><p></p><div style="text-align: left;">Greetings friends! I am back today with a card for the<a href="https://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2021/09/color-throwdown-countdown-658.html"> Colour Throwdown Challenge</a>. These colours made me think of foliage and a serene sentiment. I received my order from Simon Says Stamp this week and got some new patterned papers and this lovely Reverse Confetti sentiment set. LOVE the scripty font on this one! It's my last day of summer vacation and a beautiful sunny day :) I'm trying to spend time doing some things that I love and happily spending time in the studio is one of them. Hope your week is starting out well. Happy Back to School if that applies to you :) ox</div><div style="text-align: left;"> </div><div style="text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKyV6BRCo86NEu0eVJNgptK0TxkIVXYiWmhOoeaYaf_vDESZu5d87-s7Dob7hHAxknvdh-P41l6FncDkPwOKUOWE3eQq9dJSf2aE0kEWFzQe7bv3SXBKCJE5uWXuX9SbqyZOfzA9XDCh_e/s166/signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="46" data-original-width="166" height="46" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKyV6BRCo86NEu0eVJNgptK0TxkIVXYiWmhOoeaYaf_vDESZu5d87-s7Dob7hHAxknvdh-P41l6FncDkPwOKUOWE3eQq9dJSf2aE0kEWFzQe7bv3SXBKCJE5uWXuX9SbqyZOfzA9XDCh_e/s0/signature.png" width="166" /></a></div><br /> </div><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDn4QJ1hVX2IAPRkiUg9Ux8rlHgMhIukvw1U3-V3Ou6_1KBN7NwN93vChhfuATHMGSxXUMMCaqt0wnWA8T3nkP9o7q5qsdkq7gB_Np4mF_fPVqapdRK8_r_g_VWzDGTWwbhyphenhyphenKqvBk78FuW/s400/colourthrowdownsept6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="294" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDn4QJ1hVX2IAPRkiUg9Ux8rlHgMhIukvw1U3-V3Ou6_1KBN7NwN93vChhfuATHMGSxXUMMCaqt0wnWA8T3nkP9o7q5qsdkq7gB_Np4mF_fPVqapdRK8_r_g_VWzDGTWwbhyphenhyphenKqvBk78FuW/s320/colourthrowdownsept6.jpg" width="235" /></a></div><p></p>Maureenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18207530032440129282noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6263186914071670773.post-29859774084661404952021-08-29T11:40:00.001-07:002021-08-29T11:40:40.318-07:00Teachers Live Forever ~ Colour Throw Down<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNtsBhEygsQOsvABT5ZlCr-tRd8KzraJRFrYg8-aBMUnyhSLYQZCkTBVedDlAFntyoKWFODMDMXHdr17O-gjQ7iEaSHYRr2320KZivxBqLiyJMDhv0xTUCsXblHmK9MZQVNzQxcC2pfY4V/s511/liveforevermaureenplut.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="511" data-original-width="439" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNtsBhEygsQOsvABT5ZlCr-tRd8KzraJRFrYg8-aBMUnyhSLYQZCkTBVedDlAFntyoKWFODMDMXHdr17O-gjQ7iEaSHYRr2320KZivxBqLiyJMDhv0xTUCsXblHmK9MZQVNzQxcC2pfY4V/w344-h400/liveforevermaureenplut.JPG" width="344" /></a></div> <p></p><p>Happy Sunday, friends! It's been a lovely morning in the studio creating one of my favourite genres of cards ~ teacher cards! I head back to my classroom tomorrow to start setting up for the new school year that begins on September 7th here in BC. My colours are inspired by the <a href="https://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2021/08/color-throwdown-657.html">Colour Throw Down challenge</a>. I turned to my trusty apple dies from Spellbinders that I found at HomeSense years ago...it was one of the best finds EVER!! Seriously, $7.99 CAD for these adorable dies!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><p></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSeTFci5wMZotem5JFYoJfJX1jMrMTX-JoOOl3p1NJp_5ZTclv8HvcO8MEYl78L3TDt4nmr2PWQxSdckCXiBvKfajs-qYAqwovmghwe0WDeMzTsoJsezTSTh53uFcwyyKJ8U5xUGTtKxhh/s511/spellbindersdies.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="370" data-original-width="511" height="232" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSeTFci5wMZotem5JFYoJfJX1jMrMTX-JoOOl3p1NJp_5ZTclv8HvcO8MEYl78L3TDt4nmr2PWQxSdckCXiBvKfajs-qYAqwovmghwe0WDeMzTsoJsezTSTh53uFcwyyKJ8U5xUGTtKxhh/w320-h232/spellbindersdies.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /> Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day :)<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifZkP0QPrYihOHaWm-_DwBxqEeyY8pWTjqydHDBLwygb55XP7jI88kry2kYMUaKxkz-PthdYKLLvDp-L4N31IXe5emn2BCDAwN46vJDYaBvcahglUhyphenhyphenT7kAH-qiG16ZluP2gt5Hzu8PNs4/s166/signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="46" data-original-width="166" height="46" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifZkP0QPrYihOHaWm-_DwBxqEeyY8pWTjqydHDBLwygb55XP7jI88kry2kYMUaKxkz-PthdYKLLvDp-L4N31IXe5emn2BCDAwN46vJDYaBvcahglUhyphenhyphenT7kAH-qiG16ZluP2gt5Hzu8PNs4/s0/signature.png" width="166" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7Q4NXQRH1Yv6juj_SVZ-g1QgPfaeA6FR40lAHrU-LL9oOYp3WllS7HmqNiTc7aWLnB0RWTEhtq5Pafp__sqawKfRhCQsOeX3Hm3kvToYylfNGCcrLXGvslUwVU9lKDyfG1Q2FnIjTTOQH/s400/colourthrowdownaug.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="296" data-original-width="400" height="237" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7Q4NXQRH1Yv6juj_SVZ-g1QgPfaeA6FR40lAHrU-LL9oOYp3WllS7HmqNiTc7aWLnB0RWTEhtq5Pafp__sqawKfRhCQsOeX3Hm3kvToYylfNGCcrLXGvslUwVU9lKDyfG1Q2FnIjTTOQH/s320/colourthrowdownaug.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Maureenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18207530032440129282noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6263186914071670773.post-68860057187959297782021-08-28T16:16:00.006-07:002021-08-28T16:16:38.130-07:00Crushing on Card Stock ~ Day 4<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigMFHY0vxDgVSE7QMo1O0RC7z9vUNShtUTzeCcvb6SaDPNxuqNthgrqMkJ8zgcy_aFRVaU5NMRiIxMLV5g1nggitsa1uXy9C6X3v5vOjxyxoVfOkrWQLw_gApzQ55RgkcqTi_EnqmxbQwh/s511/thanksmaureenplut.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="511" data-original-width="479" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigMFHY0vxDgVSE7QMo1O0RC7z9vUNShtUTzeCcvb6SaDPNxuqNthgrqMkJ8zgcy_aFRVaU5NMRiIxMLV5g1nggitsa1uXy9C6X3v5vOjxyxoVfOkrWQLw_gApzQ55RgkcqTi_EnqmxbQwh/w375-h400/thanksmaureenplut.JPG" width="375" /></a></div><p></p><p>Hello! I'm back today with a card from the last day on my Online Card Class, Crushing on Cardstock. I love the fall feel of this card. So what did I do to the card stock? I used a floral stencil with gesso on the light grey cardstock to give extra texture and also used glitter card stock for some shine. I had to laugh at my little dew drops. They are from The Robin's Nest back in the day (10 - 15 years ago?). I kept them over the years and they come and go on cards. Apparently, they are back in, maybe they never went away (only I did! lol). Thanks for stopping by! Hope your weekend is going well :)</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX1MqEKd5BHvbD2ZRImqTUxztAaH1xn56oklyAalehpLrlQvWY5u6ZlzuwsdkK1nRDOOg9CEixFuXW1RNNhq0yFM_-ZNUjCEssYD01xo2yBDzW1CfrCbyxO-h841U0tDxHPFd66X8n8POt/s166/signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="46" data-original-width="166" height="46" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX1MqEKd5BHvbD2ZRImqTUxztAaH1xn56oklyAalehpLrlQvWY5u6ZlzuwsdkK1nRDOOg9CEixFuXW1RNNhq0yFM_-ZNUjCEssYD01xo2yBDzW1CfrCbyxO-h841U0tDxHPFd66X8n8POt/s0/signature.png" width="166" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEYNoBmwuUmTkzIOkSPDp6DHZgcIkHm5esvgqX9Qyl31QgF0qjGPKbek5UdX1_5udA6w8Bo8WCe-CPYpUm1MJidc_iEFgiJA6iqJ0V901jrvdBJ44Z2sru8EAOC2Q-k9_61u9-3Gybf-JR/s200/COC_participant.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="195" data-original-width="200" height="195" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEYNoBmwuUmTkzIOkSPDp6DHZgcIkHm5esvgqX9Qyl31QgF0qjGPKbek5UdX1_5udA6w8Bo8WCe-CPYpUm1MJidc_iEFgiJA6iqJ0V901jrvdBJ44Z2sru8EAOC2Q-k9_61u9-3Gybf-JR/s0/COC_participant.png" width="200" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Maureenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18207530032440129282noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6263186914071670773.post-61153149850953850022021-08-26T16:44:00.001-07:002021-08-26T16:44:28.571-07:00Crushing on Cardstock ~ Day 3<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: #ff00fe;"> CASEing ALERT!!</span></span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: #ff00fe;"></span></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWS0qcT108SwyJx7QPDvYo2LuzR5wljI-32RDEOO-sYk03LS2s7XjMHhP_TuNVRWoONM7KT0ZTW2taKzEWXNW6O2J_cuLLnpsoRr5XoAXuhzIBcE1mbEZC9EutxOhRx6RUQOby_3Td25Y0/s511/somuchmaureenplut.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="511" data-original-width="436" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWS0qcT108SwyJx7QPDvYo2LuzR5wljI-32RDEOO-sYk03LS2s7XjMHhP_TuNVRWoONM7KT0ZTW2taKzEWXNW6O2J_cuLLnpsoRr5XoAXuhzIBcE1mbEZC9EutxOhRx6RUQOby_3Td25Y0/w341-h400/somuchmaureenplut.JPG" width="341" /></a></span></div><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: small;">Good day, friends! Today's card is a very close CASE of a lovely card made years ago by the talented Dawn McVey. It was this card that influenced me to buy the PTI heart dies and Delicates dies. I thought of this card during Day 3 of the Crushing on Cardstock class I've been taking this week. So I combined Kristina's technique of painting gold along the heart edges and popping each layer up with foam tape. The rest is all Dawn's inspiration from <a href="https://dawnmcvey.typepad.com/these_are_a_few_of_my_fav/2018/12/from-the-heart-and-more.html">this gorgeous card</a> :) Have a lovely start to your weekend!</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: small;"></span></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: small;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmkMjOsyI6ymewS_kgw-Gpge9fIMs78lVhayBQTZKDgsrVQr2APU4MMI8ovg4Gvp7QHQpmjcnPdC-SUFmc3FdLg-7a2hHftpXv27OnwXLNJwN0GVLYj2tYp6WTtd71trqHe_dtMMypxFWg/s166/signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="46" data-original-width="166" height="46" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmkMjOsyI6ymewS_kgw-Gpge9fIMs78lVhayBQTZKDgsrVQr2APU4MMI8ovg4Gvp7QHQpmjcnPdC-SUFmc3FdLg-7a2hHftpXv27OnwXLNJwN0GVLYj2tYp6WTtd71trqHe_dtMMypxFWg/s0/signature.png" width="166" /></a></span></span></div><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7wFx7hv9zy_44iPs_-IE8ubueO8mWrKPdzqI-FMpdOKrk7UHLoQhKpL0WKAhBy2zuslA9_aU_ZVwA5cvUAEPPLo8ete4hl5TNnLdKmugkheBVmNvvWEfVTuasVIh6JHiI1Xut8SXPCv8O/s200/COC_participant.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="195" data-original-width="200" height="195" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7wFx7hv9zy_44iPs_-IE8ubueO8mWrKPdzqI-FMpdOKrk7UHLoQhKpL0WKAhBy2zuslA9_aU_ZVwA5cvUAEPPLo8ete4hl5TNnLdKmugkheBVmNvvWEfVTuasVIh6JHiI1Xut8SXPCv8O/s0/COC_participant.png" width="200" /></a></div><br /> </span><br /></span><p></p><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: #ff00fe;"> </span></span><br /></p>Maureenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18207530032440129282noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6263186914071670773.post-32574496868771101562021-08-26T10:14:00.004-07:002021-08-26T10:14:46.452-07:00Crushing on Cardstock ~ Day 2<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4ihb1KVHet-0Q7a0AZpbFUeNHkHAVNP6znFHhEAqq4AGpUtJQDPUuYVhyca1yfzKqKuWPVJkeuafU_NsnsJbB4v8exnynqiRr13TCo9TQFTJKPfDqvzUbDZotCvsslWjd94JFeimjLLhr/s511/changedirectionmaureenplut.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="511" data-original-width="437" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4ihb1KVHet-0Q7a0AZpbFUeNHkHAVNP6znFHhEAqq4AGpUtJQDPUuYVhyca1yfzKqKuWPVJkeuafU_NsnsJbB4v8exnynqiRr13TCo9TQFTJKPfDqvzUbDZotCvsslWjd94JFeimjLLhr/w343-h400/changedirectionmaureenplut.JPG" width="343" /></a></div><p></p><p>Hello friends! I'm back to share my Day 2 cards from my Crushing on Cardstock Online Card Course. I used 2 of the techniques from class, using different coloured card stock for my waves. I have always loved this sentiment so years ago I printed it out several times on vellum. I've had this last one for AGES and. again, finally found the perfect card.</p><p>Up next, I used an old PTI bead die to cut out some beautiful ray shapes. Two rays were embossed (so happy embossing folders are making a comeback! I find them much easier to use than impression plates) and one ray was cut from glitter cardstock. That sweet gold bloom was another scrap waiting on my desk for so long. I've been busy these last two days with an <a href="https://www.onlinecardclasses.com/">Online Card Class, Crushing On Cardstock.</a> I thought it would be a great way to ease back into stamping and see what's new and what, hopefully, is still around. <a href="http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog/">Kristina Werner</a> was one of the first bloggers I followed when I first discovered card blogs. She never fails to inspire me with her creativity. We learned how to create background patterns out of pieces of cardstock! It is more labour intensive than I'm used to, but the results are fun as you're never sure how it will turn out until the card is almost done. Here's the second card...<br /></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7boLVhrfb05d3RRq4BcHLXEKzYjP2oK2PJYhieiHTScjd3MEz_lW-u4WBMtqHrQ6rWI0RzZ-Qc3xIACYvxy7RSONXukI-0wR4K6k5FxYWf1nfIYdnaMRmvdJBrwQLTUAMmhf9L9OJCP59/s511/everthanksmaureenplut.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="412" data-original-width="511" height="258" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7boLVhrfb05d3RRq4BcHLXEKzYjP2oK2PJYhieiHTScjd3MEz_lW-u4WBMtqHrQ6rWI0RzZ-Qc3xIACYvxy7RSONXukI-0wR4K6k5FxYWf1nfIYdnaMRmvdJBrwQLTUAMmhf9L9OJCP59/s320/everthanksmaureenplut.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>And them both together as they were created with the same strips of cardstock until I cut them in different ways, cool, eh?<p></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHo4uecJwZ_hnagnx3ldu5RICpISdVWOZ-b9V_mMBSJnOdUSeq3oAn6Xrt2tV_ZUwMk6VDkC9rqiBRSivRmQOa2A0u1C8rlrC33kknRbFFLKLaT6M7r3T_dIppXw-SixWQm8Cl5jSdXXRN/s511/both+cards.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="375" data-original-width="511" height="235" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHo4uecJwZ_hnagnx3ldu5RICpISdVWOZ-b9V_mMBSJnOdUSeq3oAn6Xrt2tV_ZUwMk6VDkC9rqiBRSivRmQOa2A0u1C8rlrC33kknRbFFLKLaT6M7r3T_dIppXw-SixWQm8Cl5jSdXXRN/s320/both+cards.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><p></p><p>Next up was to emboss cardstock...no problem there! I must say that today's card was SO fun to create. As us card makers know, unused embellishments can get out of hand. At some point, I do throw little bits out (YIKES!) but some I just cannot part with. I was determined to use some up so I grabbed several of them that I thought went together and laid them out. The only thing I had to do was create the embossed polka dot panel and tie the palm leaves together. That Sending My Gratitude ticket was made back when I had that PTI stamp set and I kind of regret selling it years ago. Isn't that always the way? Hope your week has started out well. Sending smiles...</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6Jd6Kio2LPEyT7gK13-T7PIi9lYVYiyCwxDjSsoKrHENibHfX23jnmwX4kwXyWiiiPshisI242r5hf95d-K6r5OH0JcNzRxnns4rt_CiRnVczBHQCMP0r74FWTTRzRN5O2AK90hyTZGxm/s166/signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="46" data-original-width="166" height="46" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6Jd6Kio2LPEyT7gK13-T7PIi9lYVYiyCwxDjSsoKrHENibHfX23jnmwX4kwXyWiiiPshisI242r5hf95d-K6r5OH0JcNzRxnns4rt_CiRnVczBHQCMP0r74FWTTRzRN5O2AK90hyTZGxm/s0/signature.png" width="166" /></a></div><br /> <p></p>Maureenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18207530032440129282noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6263186914071670773.post-27367737875216709212021-08-22T16:36:00.002-07:002021-08-22T16:36:56.452-07:00Inspired by Wanda Guess<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnQ8Yt8IvBZ-pg-pwCj-MUHjHyotBvs6_35B06MUJ2sUXcN1Hk8zYaWch7tZ6QNeaqFxHYDgXSOGNC9TL-kSoKeuZfAaj2oW4TRURthB0G-lJDvh69Cbk4H9qrKy5TJDyxLYNSw0wo2u2A/s511/Thanksmaureenplut.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="511" data-original-width="435" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnQ8Yt8IvBZ-pg-pwCj-MUHjHyotBvs6_35B06MUJ2sUXcN1Hk8zYaWch7tZ6QNeaqFxHYDgXSOGNC9TL-kSoKeuZfAaj2oW4TRURthB0G-lJDvh69Cbk4H9qrKy5TJDyxLYNSw0wo2u2A/w340-h400/Thanksmaureenplut.JPG" width="340" /></a></div><p></p><p>Happy Sunday, everyone! As I was checking out Betsy Veldman's The Greetery blog, I happily noticed so many former PTI designers. I checked out <a href="https://www.ablogcalledwanda.com/a-blog-called-wanda/2021/08/honey-bee-coneflowers-dies-and-sending-lots-of-love.html">Wanda Guess' blog</a> and WOW! Ahh, it feels so good to say that :) As I've been trying to catch up on the last 2 years of card blogging, I came across the<a href="https://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2021/08/color-throwdown-656.html"> Colour Throwdown Challenge.</a> AND, even though it's still summer for this teacher, I cannot resist making a teacher card! Inspired by the colours and All the fun teacher embellishments, I came up with this card with some "vintage" October Afternoon paper, a Reverse Confetti apple waiting for 2 years for the perfect card, and a sentiment from my beloved and classic Verve Teachers Count retired stamp set.</p><p>Again, I am so thankful you've stopped by and for my lovely commenters...I am definitely following up on your suggestions! Luanne, can you believe it's been 10 years since the original PTI Stampafaire! So grateful I made the long trek out to it :)</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeKZNLV3hKengj0O3-l3s96trIrA2Q-ileD-u_z6qXhxhyJunq3VrH3aB7kJrOcgjdHcoN3QVALD9S1225PZEa89ScWBa6vUJv27LFisjkl59w6oKmFX_-uaDti2ws9CpK6E4UFCNBRMsP/s2048/IMG_3678.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeKZNLV3hKengj0O3-l3s96trIrA2Q-ileD-u_z6qXhxhyJunq3VrH3aB7kJrOcgjdHcoN3QVALD9S1225PZEa89ScWBa6vUJv27LFisjkl59w6oKmFX_-uaDti2ws9CpK6E4UFCNBRMsP/s320/IMG_3678.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><p>This is all filling my soul, friends, thanks for being here :)</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFLx2KpuQND5A8FOHvweSSWENxcdIV1hRTRUNRggpDgiYv7nuiJw41KUgsNvwsQ4HCDpzSyRf8wCW_mzFDCtiQT3-LLsFgPARTQI5ygJOTOl5T5PcP5MBjyeFKY2Ue_6GzZZf8VYSCdZ2Y/s166/signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="46" data-original-width="166" height="46" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFLx2KpuQND5A8FOHvweSSWENxcdIV1hRTRUNRggpDgiYv7nuiJw41KUgsNvwsQ4HCDpzSyRf8wCW_mzFDCtiQT3-LLsFgPARTQI5ygJOTOl5T5PcP5MBjyeFKY2Ue_6GzZZf8VYSCdZ2Y/s0/signature.png" width="166" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLWPpa_x2OiTd8ISCR8BBdGmokCRDb21v1e_OML-WUSQ4XnSN9mKSH0ikYHs47VqJVVZacRJp5YnJkc0CHiRofLYtDbdgHUu7ViNpjxInOAJ3kn864h3nwv2AxtErp8Ci22dYRNwaLyab_/s400/colourthrowdown.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="294" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLWPpa_x2OiTd8ISCR8BBdGmokCRDb21v1e_OML-WUSQ4XnSN9mKSH0ikYHs47VqJVVZacRJp5YnJkc0CHiRofLYtDbdgHUu7ViNpjxInOAJ3kn864h3nwv2AxtErp8Ci22dYRNwaLyab_/s320/colourthrowdown.jpg" width="235" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Maureenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18207530032440129282noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6263186914071670773.post-57686964774279382182021-08-20T10:42:00.006-07:002021-08-20T10:45:08.258-07:00Today, Tomorrow, Forever. It has been a blissful week looking around and seeing which of my favourite cardmakers are still active and what everyone has been up to! I had to drop in on Jen and Reverse Confetti. I looked up their latest <a href="https://reverseconfetti.com/blogs/posts/august-stock-your-stash-1">Stock Your Stash challenge</a> and thought it would be fun to create a shaker wedding card. The studio is still fully stocked with all my supplies so sequins and clear plastic panels were not hard to find! LOL. </p><p>I've set up my old homemade lightbox, thankful I did not get rid of it (I was considering it!). I tried just using my phone and natural light, but I have not figured it out so I went back to my tried and true photography, lightbox, and paint.net. It was like riding a bike, remembering how to adjust the photo and resize it. Not professional by any means, but just good enough to share :). Thanks for dropping by! If you like, let me know what's new! For example, Kristina Werner is married! Sequins is still around (as far as I can tell)...I feel like Rip Van Winkle or Captain America! LOL Have a wondering day :)</p><div style="text-align: left;"><i><span style="font-size: x-small;">What's in it?</span></i></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i><span style="font-size: x-small;">stamps: Crazy About You Stamps (Reverse Confetti)<br /></span></i></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i><span style="font-size: x-small;">dies: XOXO Heart Dies, Falling Hearts Panel Die (Reverse Confetti)</span></i><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQhwOc13i67NB0L9-o69EdQk6cBoeuboWPz0MK788Tlf7GEssGb0035wiF24JfcjzbVfmeZMZUsBq6DlVFp15l3f4lizBJ7KhWdvO9yQG_v9s9MiU9j13uhewLjwuzTwootYhp23LTQ40s/s166/signature.png" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="46" data-original-width="166" height="46" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQhwOc13i67NB0L9-o69EdQk6cBoeuboWPz0MK788Tlf7GEssGb0035wiF24JfcjzbVfmeZMZUsBq6DlVFp15l3f4lizBJ7KhWdvO9yQG_v9s9MiU9j13uhewLjwuzTwootYhp23LTQ40s/s0/signature.png" width="166" /></a></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCgrMNjfKz6NmUexQtTbOlfA3mhsphPQhVrrbt1DBVQWefR9hLa9Z6EM8O_TFrp1ZfNrABpw-MYfJwom8fd_HWJuqQwyWmFl8AOp0mUiU12wrOqZXnn0sPPCqVpvnWDwFgfy9lYBlVii2u/s480/auguststockyourstash.webp" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="478" data-original-width="480" height="199" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCgrMNjfKz6NmUexQtTbOlfA3mhsphPQhVrrbt1DBVQWefR9hLa9Z6EM8O_TFrp1ZfNrABpw-MYfJwom8fd_HWJuqQwyWmFl8AOp0mUiU12wrOqZXnn0sPPCqVpvnWDwFgfy9lYBlVii2u/w200-h199/auguststockyourstash.webp" width="200" /></a></div><br /><br /><p><br /></p>Maureenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18207530032440129282noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6263186914071670773.post-75061232964503087082021-08-16T12:09:00.000-07:002021-08-16T12:09:45.480-07:00Hello! Hello! It's been what seems a lifetime since I've blogged. Long story short...once Verve stamps closed and PTI changed ownership, my card making heart broke and my mojo just didn't feel right. I then focused more on work and other interests, making cards only to give away. Fast forward to this summer and recovering from hernia surgery (no worries, all went well!) and not going very far due to COVID, cleaning the studio was a top priority. Then I had to check out the blogs I used to follow and was pleasantly surprised to see that one of my old stamping grounds, <a href="https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com/2021/06/the-card-concept-158-long-summer-days.html">The Card Concept,</a> was still going strong with a GORGEOUS inspiration photo. I knew it was a great place to foster my slowly growing mojo. I have NO new products but a room full of loved paper, stamps, and ink. What more do I need? I've never been good at defining my style, so I'm going with Clean and Layered. I was inspired by the colours and then let my heart decide the rest. <p></p><p>Not sure how much posting I'll be doing, but it feels good to be creating again! Thanks for stopping by!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtaHq5q9dK8CmR-lxvvf_rTHRu_Dbk2M-WhQEA53fc0I7rWBv0CQG01YjMnzwve9vkX0BrppbcvZ7uxUqsqiy4i7rt8aTVHhdfBEpFI3AX8DP3TIuwVGpdj8wdQEDzB1iNJ2EPO5EOkZI_/s166/signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="46" data-original-width="166" height="46" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtaHq5q9dK8CmR-lxvvf_rTHRu_Dbk2M-WhQEA53fc0I7rWBv0CQG01YjMnzwve9vkX0BrppbcvZ7uxUqsqiy4i7rt8aTVHhdfBEpFI3AX8DP3TIuwVGpdj8wdQEDzB1iNJ2EPO5EOkZI_/s0/signature.png" width="166" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhH7CwTX6sdagjW-sT94fm34ApXTeKXxY-pvvDOXrrll9WoU4DbvOazXsIaKYlkXg7faadiGzK9W999IRsA4GWfHcAYcUXJH79eWdcz5c501sj4p_jVe3FAEsRRHZ8SHscxMZu_OpiUBv8v/s640/ccaug20221.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="478" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhH7CwTX6sdagjW-sT94fm34ApXTeKXxY-pvvDOXrrll9WoU4DbvOazXsIaKYlkXg7faadiGzK9W999IRsA4GWfHcAYcUXJH79eWdcz5c501sj4p_jVe3FAEsRRHZ8SHscxMZu_OpiUBv8v/s320/ccaug20221.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Maureenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18207530032440129282noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6263186914071670773.post-64742733459769897962019-10-23T05:00:00.000-07:002019-10-23T05:00:01.400-07:00Thankful ~ The Card Concept<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Oh, this makes me think of French Country...and golden delicious apples! Okay, maybe our field trip to Davison Orchard last week helped with that! LOL I found some beautiful blue and white patterned paper in my stash and stamped some golden delicious (or Aurora) apples to make a clean and layered teacher card that makes my soul sing. I think this style is vintage layered...that sounds about right and it was the vibe I was feeling as I created my first card in over a month. I sure hope that changes! Head over to <a href="http://thecardconcept.blogspot.com/">The Card Concept blog</a> to see all the different interpretations from the Design Team then join in the fun! Thanks so much for popping by:)<br />

Greetings everyone! I'm back from a short, but fun trip with my girl work tribe and itching to get back into the studio. This card is for <a href="https://blog.inktopaper.com/2019/07/lauries-fabulous-favorites-black-white/">Laurie's Fabulous Favourites challenge</a>: Black and White. Does it count if I made grey with my black? I say yes, sure, of course! I'm using a similar card layout to the one I used for a Make it Monday challenge <a href="https://buttonsandbling.blogspot.com/2018/04/with-heartfelt-sympathy-make-it-monday.html">HERE</a>. I love the simplicity of black and white...thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend :)<br />

Hello friends!! Oh my it's been too long! Here I thought I'd have tons of studio time this summer and yet here it's been about a month with no posts! I may be talking to myself, but here goes. I've been Marie Kondo-ing my kitchen and starting on my closet this week. It takes a lot of time hauling out, sorting, disposing, and organizing but I have been loving the finished, clean areas of my home. However, I was determined to find time for the latest <a href="https://blog.inktopaper.com/2019/07/lauries-fabulous-favorites-case-birthday-wishes/">Ink to Paper challenge</a> to CASE a card from this month's release. This was perfect as I needed a mojo jump. I've CASED Kelly's stunning rainbow card found <a href="http://flutterbyatomicbutterfly.blogspot.com/2019/07/ink-to-paper-countdown-day-3.html">HERE</a> with some old and much beloved PTI stamps :) Thanks for stopping by! </div>

Hello everyone! Yikes! I've been AWOL! We were away last weekend and now it's report card writing week. I feel out of my groove so it was great to get a little inky for our new challenge over at <a href="http://thecardconcept.blogspot.com/">The Card Concept challenge blog</a>. Our challenge is based on this bright and cheery photo...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
My clean and layered (with a splash of vintage) card was inspired by the primary colours. One of my students' grandma came in on Friday and did weaving with the class...they loved it! It was so calming and they were so proud to learn a new skill. I think this card will do nicely to thank her for coming in and sharing her talent.<br />
