Christmas Card Trio

Hello friends!  I'm back with the last three Christmas I made for my son, his girlfriend, Joyce, and Joyce's parents.  I CASEd 3 cards I made last year (or the year before, I can't quite remember! HA!) as time was ticking and I didn't have time to play around with new designs.  No worries, though, as I loved these when I made them the first time :)  The dh and I are off for a fun dinner and dance at a quaint hotel just out of town tonight :)  I wish you all a Happy New Year, may 2016 be full of our heart's desires!

Papertrey Ink December Blog Hop

Hello!  And to all my Canadian friends, Happy Boxing Day!! I'm up and slowly recovering from hosting 24+ family for dinner last night!  All the work is worth all the laughs and leftovers! HA!  Today's card for Papertrey's Blog Hop was given to my bonus son and his wife yesterday.  I was inspired by everything in the photo and got to use my little Joy bell before Christmas was over! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the hop!

Simon Says Stamp cards

Good morning!  I'm back with a couple of cards I made with the December Simon Says Stamp card kit.  It has so many fun papers and stickers AND self adhesive sequins!  These are the two cards I made last week for a couple of colleagues.  I am just in love with red and white baker's twine for Christmas cards...candy cane anyone!?

I have a few of these kits and they are so fun and great to use when you have to make a card "right now."  Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be back on the 26th for the PTI blog hop.  Until then, Merry Christmas to you and yours!  God bless us everyone!

Silent Night, Holy Night

Hello everyone!  Today's card is for my brother in law and his wife.  I ran into her at a local store recently and she was picking up some rustic frames in creams and aquas.  That became my colour inspiration!  I'm happy to say that my shopping, baking, and decorating are done after a very productive day yesterday.  Now I just have to wrap a few gifts and make a few more cards...the fun part!  Hope your week is going well.  Thanks for stopping by!

The Way You Made Them Feel

neverforgetmaureenplut

Hello! As promised, I’m back with another card I made during my day in the studio on Monday.  I wanted a few more thank you cards for colleagues and have a hard time not using my Verve’s Teachers Count set when doing so.  I’m on another doily run and think I used them on most of the cards I made yesterday! LOL  Thanks for stopping by!

Joy ~ Make it Monday

joymaureenplut

Hello!  Yikes, it’s been almost a whole week without a post!  It’s Christmas in grade one now so things are a bit hectic.  I thought I’d have so much extra time after the Masters, but time is like a vacuum and gets filled up very easily.  I have a day off in lieu today so my main goal was to spend the whole day in the studio!  It’s been so FUN!  I was able to play with this week’s Papertrey Ink’s Make it Monday challenge.  We are asked to break out the felt and that makes my heart happy :)  I remember making a bunch of cards a few years back with felt poinsettias, so I thought I’d bring them back!  Thanks for stopping by and I promise more posts this week :)

Hope You’ve Been Good ~ Curtain Call Inspiration

beennaughtymaureenplut

Good morning!  There’s a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge up and this time we’re inspired by this photo…

I focused in on the greens, red, and greys for my paper choices.  The typewriter and paper inspired my notebook page along with the idea of the “naughty” list.  I’ve used two Clearly Besotted stamp sets to create my sentiment and stamped images…Laugh Out Loud Christmas and Best Christmas.  Want to play along?  Head over to the Curtain Call blog for more inspiration and then join in the fun! Thanks for stopping by!

May Blessings be Yours This Christmas

blessingsbeyoursmaureenplut

Happy Sunday everyone!  I squeezed in some studio time this week in between writing report cards (totally new report program that is NOT user friendly) to make this card for PTI’s Make it Monday Challenge.  Dawn made a gorgeous poinsettia card and though I could have CASEd it exactly, I chose to use her old poinsettia set instead.  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Wonderful Marvelous You ~ Viva La Verve

marvelousyoumaureenplut

Happy Friday, everyone!  I’m the hostess over on the Viva La Verve blog so head over there for all the details on how you could win a whole lotta Verve this month by playing along with our sketches!

VLVNov15Week4Sketch

This card should have arrived at my son’s place by today.  You see, it’s his birthday tomorrow so I mailed it on Monday to make sure it arrived in time for his special day.  When I went to make this card, I had the idea of a whole bunch of starts in different sizes and papers stacked on top of each other.  I even threw on some tiny wood stars!  And as I usually do for Jake’s birthday post, here are a few photos :)  Have a great day!

joymaureenplut

Welcome friends!  I’m participating in the PTI November Blog Hop today with a card inspired by this gorgeous photo…

ptibloghopnov

I focused in on the white frame against the grey background along with the green ornaments (translated as jingle bells on my card!).  A bit of sparkle with some silver cardstock and Frosted Snowfall Sequin Mix and this card is one shakin’ bit of joyful fun!  Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Feel Better ~ Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge

feelbetter

Good morning!  There’s a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge up and this time we’re inspired by this photo…

foxy

This really was a challenge for me!  I have NO fox images in my stamp stash…can you believe it?!  The Curtain Call team tried to help out saying I could focus on the cup image or use any cute little critter.  I loved these ideas and dug out my PTI Cuppa Love die that I had never used! Yikes!  I poured over all my patterned paper, hoping to find a fox image, but nothing.  The last place I looked was in my new Simon Says Stamp card kit.  I turned over a piece of patterned paper and there he was!  Little Mr. Fox!  Score!  The papers match perfectly with this packet of tea that I love when I lose my voice.  I will tuck one into this card and save it for the next coworker who loses his/her voice!

Want to play along?  Head over to the Curtain Call blog for more inspiration and then join in the fun! Thanks for stopping by!
