A Big Heart ~ Stock Your Stash

Hello!  Wow!  It's been ages again since I've posted.  Still card making, just not blogging.  I had high hopes of posting more this summer, but we had a glorious, smoke-free summer so I spent most of it outdoors.  So here I am on the last day of summer holidays, looking for a fun challenge.  I grabbed some die cuts from my stash and stamped this sweet apple sentiment for a Fall card for Reverse Confetti's Stock Your Stash challenge.  Teacher cards are still my favourite :)  Take care, friends.  Happy Fall!

Sincere Gratitude ~ Colour Throwdown Challenge

Happy Sunday everyone!  I'm back with another card for the Colour Throwdown Challenge.  I'm loving my new sentiment set from Reverse Confetti.  This card will be going to the lovely owners of the Pumpkin Patch where I take my class each fall.  I always add a little pumpkin, sumthin' to their cards :)  I hope you can carve (pun intended!) out a bit of time for yourself today...thanks for stopping by :)

Happy Fall Birthday ~ Stock Your Stash Challenge

Hello friends!  I am happy to report that I have my new class and they are just the sweetest!  I can't wait to really get to know them...that's when the magic happens...when you have a good solid relationship with them.  This card has been waiting on my desk all week.  I had die cut and stamped the flowers and shapes last Monday, but didn't have the energy to adhere everything together.  But this morning, with my coffee, I went back down to the studio and finished it off.  This is for the Stock Your Stash Challenge.  We are asked to make a Fall/Halloween themed card.  Well, I chose Fall colours and will be sending this to a friend with a Fall Birthday :)  Now, I have to tell you that this is a very close CASE to this GORGEOUS CARD I've been saving on my Card Pinterest board.  If you look at the date, it's from 2014!  I saved it because I love the way Tara stamped and stacked the Reverse Confetti flowers.  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!  The first weekend of the year for a teacher is one of the sweetest!

Sent with Lots of Love ~ Colour Throwdown Challenge

Greetings friends!  I am back today with a card for the Colour Throwdown Challenge.  These colours made me think of foliage and a serene sentiment.  I received my order from Simon Says Stamp this week and got some new patterned papers and this lovely Reverse Confetti sentiment set.  LOVE the scripty font on this one!  It's my last day of summer vacation and a beautiful sunny day :)  I'm trying to spend time doing some things that I love and happily spending time in the studio is one of them.  Hope your week is starting out well.  Happy Back to School if that applies to you :)  ox

Thank you for all you do! Colour Throwdown Challenge

Hello again!  Ahh, it feels so good to say that :)  As I've been trying to catch up on the last 2 years of card blogging, I came across the Colour Throwdown Challenge.  AND, even though it's still summer for this teacher, I cannot resist making a teacher card!  Inspired by the colours and All the fun teacher embellishments, I came up with this card with some "vintage" October Afternoon paper, a Reverse Confetti apple waiting for 2 years for the perfect card, and a sentiment from my beloved and classic Verve Teachers Count retired stamp set.

Again, I am so thankful you've stopped by and for my lovely commenters...I am definitely following up on your suggestions!  Luanne, can you believe it's been 10 years since the original PTI Stampafaire!  So grateful I made the long trek out to it :)

This is all filling my soul, friends, thanks for being here :)

Today, Tomorrow, Forever. Stock Your Stash!

Greetings and thank you to those of you who stopped by a few days ago to see my first card in what feels like FOREVER! It has been a blissful week looking around and seeing which of my favourite cardmakers are still active and what everyone has been up to!  I had to drop in on Jen and Reverse Confetti.  I looked up their latest Stock Your Stash challenge and thought it would be fun to create a shaker wedding card.  The studio is still fully stocked with all my supplies so sequins and clear plastic panels were not hard to find! LOL.

I've set up my old homemade lightbox, thankful I did not get rid of it (I was considering it!).  I tried just using my phone and natural light, but I have not figured it out so I went back to my tried and true photography, lightbox, and paint.net.  It was like riding a bike, remembering how to adjust the photo and resize it.  Not professional by any means, but just good enough to share :).  Thanks for dropping by!  If you like, let me know what's new!  For example, Kristina Werner is married!  Sequins is still around (as far as I can tell)...I feel like Rip Van Winkle or Captain America! LOL  Have a wondering day :)

Mom, You're in My Heart

Greetings, everyone! I'm popping back in with another card I made on my extra day off last weekend.  I finally got to break into my new Reverse Confetti Word Up stamp set.  Oh my! The sentiments stamp like a dream for being so tiny!  I used an old Concord & 9th alphabet set to stamp "mom" onto a Reverse Confetti tag.  The flowers are from a retired Verve set but I love them so.   I'm entering this into the Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash challenge: Moms, Dads, and Grads.  I've got a good stash of Mother's Day cards to take to work next week!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hooray, Way to Go!

Hello, friends!  I finally have an extra day to spend in the studio and just get inky.  Today's card is for two challenges...PTI's Win it Wednesday using my favourite colouring medium, pigment ink as water colour, and Reverse Confetti's April Challenge: Moms, Dads, and Grads.  I've used a mixture of PTI supplies (paper, tag die, and twine), Reverse Confetti supplies (heart frame die cut, word die cut, and sentiment stamp set), AND retired Verve (floral image).  Three of my favourite companies :)  Thanks for stopping by!

Wishing You Well

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge over at The Card Concept challenge blog.   Our challenge is based on this festive photo...

My clean and layered card was inspired solely by the colours as I don't have one pineapple image anywhere in the studio!  I know, can you believe it?  I'm also entering this card into the Reverse Confetti's Stock Your Stash challenge: Encouragement.  I hope you'll head over to The Card Concept blog to see all the different interpretations from the Design Team then join in the fun!  Have a great day!

From Cupid

Greetings, friends!  I've been having so much fun again with my Reverse Confetti stamps and dies this past weekend.  Jen's card HERE inspired this little number.  A colleague at work needed to borrow my school key last week as she forgot hers in her classroom.  She said she needed one of those big puffy keychains so she wouldn't forget her key at the end of the day.  Well, while I was out this weekend, I saw this heart puff keychain and knew she would love it!  I put it on her desk early this morning :)

I'm entering this sweet little card in the Reverse Confetti's Stock Your Stash challenge.  Thanks for stopping by!

what's in it?
stamps: Heart Filled Sentiments (Reverse Confetti), Tagged Sentiments (retired PTI)
dies: xoxo die, Tall Tag Trio die (Reverse Confetti), From the Heart die, Limitless Layers 1 3/4 (PTI)

Happy Heart Day

Hello, friends!  It's my last day of holidays {insert sobbing face here} so I thought I would treat myself with a challenge I keep forgetting to play along with!  I love my Reverse Confetti stamps and die cuts so I pulled out a whack of them to play along with their January Stock Your Stash Challenge: Love is in the Air.  I'll be making a bunch of Valentine cards to take into work next month so this challenge is perfect...I'm sure I'll be entering it all month long!  Here's my second card as I need to make two at a time to really stock my stash!  I was inspired by Amy Rohl's card (so adorable!). Thanks for stopping by!  Wish me luck for tomorrow!

Be Mine ~ Make it Monday

Hello friends!  Popping in to share my take on this week's PTI Make it Monday.  Melissa is challenging us to create an embossed background with a stencil.  I'm using Reverse Confetti's heart stencil and some heat and emboss powder along with some prisma glitter.  The "Be Mine" sentiment is from the all-time great "Heart Prints" set.  It's still a winner!  Thanks for stopping by :)

I Love You ~ Make it Monday on Sunday

Hi friends!  With all the hustle and bustle of work and getting ready for Christmas, I took a little time in the studio to play along with this week's PTI's Create Along with Us.  It was good medicine!  I chose to CASE Laurie's sweet and simple heart card with the supplies that I have...

Yes, I Am Crazy ~ SFYTT

Hey friends!  I'm back with my take on this month's Reverse Confetti's SFYTT.  I've been enjoying making cards with the Crazy for You stamp set.  Yes, I'm still going strong with my goal of creating 2 cards at once...here's the second one!

I think the cheeky heart paper goes so well with this sentiment! HA!  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day :)

So Very Loved ~ Curtain Call Inspiration

Hello everyone!  It's the first of the month so there's a new challenge up and ready to go over on the  Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.  This time we’re inspired by this photo…

My inspiration might be a bit more difficult to see this time...especially with the colours!  It's the DH's birthday tomorrow and I wanted to include some "Camo" on his card.  I always tease that I can't see him when he's dress in his camouflage gear.  I made the camo paper with some wrapping paper I have.  The bright red xoxo is a nod to hunting and to make sure he can see it!  My stamps and dies were from my recent Reverse Confetti purchase.  They have seen lots of use this week :)

Want to play along?  Head over to the Curtain Call blog for more inspiration and then join in the fun! Thanks for stopping by!

So Very Loved ~ SFYTT

Hi everyone!  I had happy mail from Simon Says Stamp this week full of some lovely Reverse Confetti stamps and dies.  I thought it would be fun to use their current SFYTT sketch.  I used to play along with those sketches a lot before Jen started her own stamp line.  In keeping with my goal, I made 2 cards at the same time, switching up only the patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by!  I have a couple more cards to share tonight so I'll be right back!
