Grateful for You

Hello friends!  Welcome to my Papertrey Ink September Blog Hop post!  The inspiration photo reminded me of this patterned paper I picked up this summer.  I still had Gran's Garden on my desk and thought the blooms were a perfect match for the florals on the paper.  Love all these rich fall colours :)  Thanks for  stopping by!  Enjoy the hop!  I'll catch up with you all after work...I'm off to an apple orchard with 42 Grade One students...wish me luck! HA!

Coffee Please!

Hello friends!  Before I start, I must say thank you to the kind commenter, Sandy Kay, who let me know that I was the PTI Release Night Winner on Friday!  WAAAHOOOO!  You see, I did check the winners' page on Saturday, but I was on last month's page and didn't realize it.  So thank you again, Sandy.  With my big win, I wanted to pull out my stamps and get inky!  This week's Make it Monday challenge is from (my sweet) Dawn McVey. She is challenging us to use multiple floral sets.  I've used 3 different PTI sets along with the Verve Coffee Please  Digital download (cup and sentiment).  I was matching the leaves/foliage with the colours on the paper and didn't know what to do with the Gran's Garden leaves so I embossed them in gold!  Love how it turned out! I'm also entering this card in the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  Thanks for visiting!  Hope your week is going well :)

Kindness ~ The Card Concept

Hello everyone! Today starts a new challenge over at The Card Concept challenge blog based on the picture below...

I was inspired by the patterns and colours!  I also needed some more thank you cards, so I chose one from Verve's Kindness Matters.  My second card's sentiment was a freebie from a Verve order.  Fingers crossed Julee puts it in a set soon! It's a Shakespeare quote I shared with her a while back :)  I hope you'll head over to The Card Concept blog to see all the different interpretations from the Design Team then join in the fun!  Have a great day!

Peace on Earth

Hello friends!  I've been a bit of a no show for my favourite challenges this past month. With school starting, selling my old car (2004 VW Jetta), and buying a new vehicle (2018 VW Tiguan), time in the studio has been at a premium.  I was determined to get back to my favourite PTI Create Along with Us so here it is!  I chose Heather's tag for inspiration and made my first 2 Christmas cards of the year! Yahooo!

A Whole Lot of Awesome ~ Curtain Call Inspiration

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge over on the  Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.  This time we’re inspired by this photo…

Ah, it's September and time for me to say goodbye to my beloved vacation.  I had a wonderful restful and fun time with lazy mornings, daily workouts, traveling, visiting, professional reading, reading for fun, and time in the studio.  But now it's back to school.  I took the colours from the inspiration photo and used them to create a card for our school secretary 'cause she is definitely "a whole lot of awesome."  I will put this on her desk ready for the first day of school :)  I am also using the latest Viva La Verve sketch!  Yes, Viva La Verve is back with monthly sketches!  Check it out over on the Viva La Verve blog.

Want to play along?  Head over to the Curtain Call blog for more inspiration and then join in the fun! Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. Oh, and here is my second card!  I sure do love making teacher cards!
