Be Mine ~ Make it Monday

Happy Polar Vortex Sunday!  Well, after a pretty mild winter, the BC interior is being hit with -18 degree Celsius ( - 27 with the windchill!) weather.  So the best way to stay warm and happy was to spend it in the studio making a few more Valentine's cards to take to school tomorrow.  I was happy to use the little heart cutouts from the Shakers and Sprinkles Make it Market kit for my take on this week's Make it Monday challenge.  Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you are staying warm!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Sunday, friends!  Spent a few happy hours in the studio today and got to play along with PTI's Make it Monday (on a Sunday!).  I loved the simple design of Michelle's card so I used it to create 2 Valentine's cards.  The first one uses a heart embossing folder with a heart frame and the second one uses a large polka dot embossing folder with a circle frame like Michelle's.

From Cupid

Greetings, friends!  I've been having so much fun again with my Reverse Confetti stamps and dies this past weekend.  Jen's card HERE inspired this little number.  A colleague at work needed to borrow my school key last week as she forgot hers in her classroom.  She said she needed one of those big puffy keychains so she wouldn't forget her key at the end of the day.  Well, while I was out this weekend, I saw this heart puff keychain and knew she would love it!  I put it on her desk early this morning :)

Happy Heart Day

Hello, friends!  It's my last day of holidays {insert sobbing face here} so I thought I would treat myself with a challenge I keep forgetting to play along with!  I love my Reverse Confetti stamps and die cuts so I pulled out a whack of them to play along with their January Stock Your Stash Challenge: Love is in the Air.  I'll be making a bunch of Valentine cards to take into work next month so this challenge is perfect...I'm sure I'll be entering it all month long!  Here's my second card as I need to make two at a time to really stock my stash!  I was inspired by Amy Rohl's card (so adorable!). Papertrey Ink Anniversary Challenges - Floral & Retired List

 Hi everyone!  I'm getting some good inky time in the studio this week in between Olympic viewing and family dinners :)  I've got two cards for the PTI Anniversary Challenges.  First up is the Floral Challenge.  I'm using the 2016 anniversary set Painted Petals, the matching dies, and a sentiment from Pen & Ink.

 Next up is a CASE of Laurie Schmidlin's card I saw on her blog.  I have the same arrow die cut and never know how to use it so I was thrilled to see it on Laurie's card HERE.  PTI has a new retired list and I CAN'T BELIEVE "HEART PRINTS" IS ON IT!  Seriously, I have had this set forever!  It's very brown and in a CD case! LOL  These stamps have been so well loved by me that I had to give all of them a warm soapy bath before making this card...they wouldn't stick to my acrylic block! LOL  If I were you, I'd grab this set before they run out.  It's a classic. I use my EK medium heart punch with the images. They are a perfect fit.  Here's my card for the Retired List challenge (thanks again to Laurie for a great design!).

Hello!  This next PTI Anniversary Challenge (Transform a card into something new) was perfect timing!  I had made this pink Valentine's card a week ago and taken it into work with my stash to sell.  One colleague loved it, but wanted it for her son.  I told her I could make it with more masculine colours, no problem!  Here it is in red and black and white!  If the design is simple enough, it's easy peasy!

Wild Thing ~ Viva La Verve!

Happy Fri-yay, friends!  It's February 2nd, Groundhog Day, new Viva La Verve sketch day, and the DH's birthday!  So let's get this party started!  I'm using the new VLV sketch to wish my "Wild Thing" a year with as much joy as he's brought into my life {insert mushy heart emoji here!}. I chose some fun outdoorsy paper, this fun sentiment from Verve's All My Love digi set, and sponged the hearts with some distress ink so they would look like camo hearts! Be Mine ~ Make it Monday

Hello friends!  Popping in to share my take on this week's PTI Make it Monday.  Melissa is challenging us to create an embossed background with a stencil.  I'm using Reverse Confetti's heart stencil and some heat and emboss powder along with some prisma glitter.  The "Be Mine" sentiment is from the all-time great "Heart Prints" set.  It's still a winner!  Thanks for stopping by :)
