Friends Until the End ~ Giveaway Part 2!

friends

Good morning!  Welcome to Part 2 of my Bazzill Basics Giveaway!  First up is a fun mix using the Beach House paper from Bazzill.  I love the thickness and feel of this paper…there is a bit of tooth to it AND it’s double sided!  I’ve used a sweet sentiment from the newly released Brighter Days from Verve and made a double bow with some white seam binding.  This white ribbon has been a favourite of mine for awhile now…there is something so fresh and crisp about it.  Next up is a fun card using the Carry On Hostess Set from Stampin’ Up!

After making my own Carry On sentiment with the actual font, I really wanted this set.  I think this is the perfect card for a girlfriend’s (or sister’s) birthday…with a GC tucked in to their favourite store.  I used some more Beach House paper to die cut the doily…love making doilies with patterned paper!

What to win this yummy Beach House Patterned Paper?  Check out the details on my Monday post HERE.  Good luck!! Have a wonderful day :)

Just for You! A Giveaway!

justforyou

Good morning!  It’s Monday and to help make it a little more fun, let’s have a card and a giveaway!  The sweet people over at Bazzill Basics Paper sent me some more yummy paper to play with! This time they gave me their Beach House 6 x 6 paper pad.

It’s chock full of vintage inspired beach papers.  Here I’ve used three different sheets on my card using the Waltzingmouse Stamps sketch this week!  I finally had time to play along again :)  I’ve used some Bazzill Basics Card Shoppe card stock in Sour Lemon as my card base.  LOVE the thickness of their cardstock at a perfect 100 lb weight.  And guess what?  They also sent me a  Beach House pack to give away!!

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and I’ll pick a winner next Sunday at 12:00 noon, PST.  Now come back tomorrow for a couple more cards with this delightful paper :)  Thanks for stopping by!

One Day at a Time

oneday

Good Friday morning!  Oh, do I need a weekend!  It’s been grey and cold and rainy here and our poor drenched sundeck has had no lovin’ for over a week! ACK!  “They” promise us some sun on Monday, so until then, it’s one day at a time!!  How about THAT for a lead in!  My card today not only uses the brand spankin’ new Verve Plain Jane, but the fabulous new Viva La Verve sketch by Diva Tosh!  As I was flipping through my new paper pads, I stopped at this fun hot air balloon page in Basicgrey’s What’s Up?  It made me think of the Verve set Up Up and Away that has not seen ANY loving in the new studio! Double ACK!  And that’s basically how the whole card came together.  Want to win some serious Verve bucks?  Play all month long with all our sketches and you could win $100.00 of Verve GCs!  AND that will go even farther with the current Verve Sale…June12HP_01

So what are you waiting for?  Head over to the Verve SCS forum and join in all the fun!  See you there and TGIF, rain or shine!

p.s. I’m also using some more of that fabulous Bazzill Basics card stock!  Super thick, 100lbs weight, with fabulous names that will make you drool!  And check out their cool Matchmaker page to match their cardstock with popular designer papers!

Life Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect

Good morning!  I had a quiet evening in the studio last night while watching DWTS so I tidied up a bit and perused some challenges. I saw the colours over on CR84FN so decided to play around with some papers and see if anything came together.  This is what I came up with :)  I also wanted to crack open some new Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock that the sweet people over at Bazzill Basics sent me to play with :)  An endorsement!!  I feel {almost} famous!!  I LOVE their cardstock!  It’s 100 lb weight so it’s nice and sturdy for card bases.  The only things that worries me about the paper are the colour names…Butter Mints, Peanut Cluster, Candy Corn…really, I may just try to eat it all!!  They all look and sound and feel so delicious!! ACK!! Teehee!  For today’s card, I used Marshmallow (white) and Icy Mint (light blue).  YUM!!  Thanks for stopping by!  The weather is still lovely and the deck is getting a real workout!! LOL  Cheers!
