Verve Release Spotlight ~ Day 3

Welcome back to Day 3 of Verve's November 2014 Spotlight Hops!  The Verve Divas and special guests are back for another day of spotlighting the new holiday release! Today's spotlight is shining on the Weary World set and Psalm 119:105 Plain Jane illustrated by Julee Tilman, as well as the coordinating Starry Stable Die Set.

O Holy Night is one of my favourite Christmas hymns and I get goosebumps when it’s sung at Christmas mass.  I knew I wanted to use this sentiment along with the nativity scene…you can’t get any more Christmasy than this IMHO :)

True Love (25 years down!)

Hi friends!  Last week, my dear secretary asked if I had any anniversary cards in my stash.  Ummm, I just mailed them to my sister!  My secretary is fabulous and always so thoughtful so I wanted to make this special 25th Anniversary card for her friends.  It was also the perfect opportunity to use this PTI set that I had bought for personalized anniversary cards :)  Have a great start to your week! 

A Whole Lot of Merry

TGIF everyone!  Ah, finally a weekend with no classes!  We were bombarded with back to back classes 3 times this semester which didn’t leave a lot of breathing room between assignments, oh, and work, oh, and rest, oh, and family time.  I’m sure the DH is not thinking it’s HOT “dating” a university girl anymore!  But eye on the prize :)  I planned a solid day of studio time on Tuesday (Remembrance Day) to get caught up on DT assignments and cards for my sister’s wine store.  I’m using the brand new Viva La Verve sketch for today’s non traditional Christmas card!  I just love these pretty colours and HEY!  I spy some jingle bells!  ‘Tis the season!  Have a great start to your weekend and thanks for popping by!

Merry Christmas!

TGIF everyone!  It seems like it is now officially Christmas season on the blog!  What better way to kick it off than with the new Viva La Verve sketch and colour inspiration!  I found this snowflake tag in my stash from last year and thought it would be the perfect embellishment for this week’s sketch.  I added some new Christmas papers, an embossed kraft background and voila, a new Christmas card!  The sentiment is made with two Verve sets Holiday Greetings and Merry & Bright.  Head over to the Viva La Verve blog for all the details on how you could win some new Verve!  Have a wonderful weekend!

 

 

 

Verve November Inspirations Hop

Welcome to Verve's November Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's time for the Divas to serve up some fresh inspiration with their Verve stamps! Classic, bold, timeless...navy is naturally elegant! Go nautical or pair with neutrals for a creation sure to impress.

I chose to pair up my navy with some white and kraft for a classic winter card.  I dug out the  Christmas in the Air stamp set and coordinating Frosty Snowflakes Die Set to create some navy and white snowflakes.  Some Shine Bright Sequin Mix and Summer Sailing Ribbon Collection helped put the finishing touches on this elegant winter card.
