Hi everyone! Welcome to my take on this month's PTI Blog Hop :)  I took inspiration from both the blooms and colours.  I dug out my Painted Petals set along with the ink colours I saw in the photo, then went to down stamping these two backgrounds ('cause I'm still making 2 cards at a time!)

  

I experimented a bit with some aquamist leaves on the left one, but it didn't go very well so I covered it up with some vellum and a tag :) Now it looks beautiful again!

Dream Big ~ The Card Concept

Hello everyone! Today starts a new challenge over at The Card Concept challenge blog based on the picture below... 

I was inspired by the gorgeous mix of neutrals, pinks, and gold accents.  I found this "Dream Big" die cut card in one of my Simon Says Stamp card kits and knew it would be the perfect jumping off point for my card.  Then I just started adding some bits and pieces from my scrap pile :)  I love when I can do that.  I think the style is Clean & Layered, although I'm never good at nailing down a particular style.  I like the "anything goes" look! LOL.

Just Because (it's Holiday Monday)

Happy Victoria Day Monday to all my Canadian friends...this is my take on PTI's Make it (Holiday) Monday!  LOL  I love holiday Mondays because it usually means I have time to watch the MIM video first thing in the morning with coffee in my PJs.  It's the little things, right?  Today we are asked to make felt flowers.  I literally said, "ouch," each time Lizzi squeezed those darling little petals with hot glue so I'm thinking she hadsa cooler hot glue gun than mine.  I went for some spray adhesive instead :)  I wanted a card that was fairly flat so I just layered the flowers like I do when using paper.  These dies cut the felt like butter without any adjustments to my Big Shot. I did, however, use a metal shim for the melon berry layer on the biggest bloom just to make sure it cut all the way through.  Thanks for stopping by!

 Mid week greetings to you all!  I love PTI release week because that means that the MIM challenge turns into a Create Along with Us challenge.  I love getting inspiration from some of my favourite designers.  I cheated a little this time and am CASEing Heather's card from this release with a former card from Melissa...here are their cards...

Sending Birthday Cheer

Hello friends!  I was excited to have a couple of hours in the studio after all my Saturday morning running around.  These two cards ('cause I'm still trying to create 2 cards at once) are for this week's PTI Make it Monday challenge to use a big sentiment as a background.  The background is hard to read on this second card...it's the New Beginnings sentiment from Tulip Time.
