Everything is Going to Be Okay

goingtobeokay

Good morning!  If you saw yesterday’s post, you know that the crazy weather kept me inside stamping on Sunday.  I know, it was torture!!  But with all the lovely hours I had, the mojo decided to jump ship.  I went to a couple of different challenge sites, but when I started a card…it went nowhere. So I had to reset.  That means I cleared the desk…put away everything from those cards and picked out some paper that made me happy.  Then I went to my edgers die that has worked more days than me this month!! LOL  Seriously, the dh should be jealous of how much I touch this die!! ACK!  I love how this pink gingham ribbon matches the pink gingham paper :)  So what do YOU do when the mojo has gone MIA?  I would love to hear your ideas :)  I’m thinking that part of the problem is too much new product has entered the studio…that clogs the brain too!  Happy stamping!

When my mojo goes away I definitely have to have a really clean work space. Can't function with clutter at all. Then I step away for a while, look through a PaperCraft or CARDS magazine for some ideas if it gets really bad and then come back.

This card is a beauty though...doesn't look like your mojo is missing at all...I love the gingham ribbon on the pink gingham paper...happiness :) And am cracking up about your edger dies and Tony! Of course, he's been gone half the month...so what does he expect?! :)

Darling card, and of course, I love tgeh polka dots :) No lack of mojo from here. When I get stuck, I hit some challenges or go to some of my favorited cards on SCS and elsewhere and case a card. I also find that if you take a break from stamping it is also a great way to jump start things.

First of all this card is gorgeous Maureen. I love it! Huge congrats on your colourQ, you nailed that one. My mojo has been on vacation lately so I so get it.

What do I do? Visit your blog! Seriously I find inspiration from others. I take time and to visit my favourite bloggers which often leads me to other blogs. Or I visit my favourite challenge sites and see where the links take me.

Gorgeous, Maureen! I certainly can't tell you're not "feeling it," this is lovely! Sometimes, I reorganize part of my studio... it helps me "rediscover" old supplies, and that makes me want to use them. Right now, I am coming up with new organization for my dies, I'm cleaning out and selling some old ones, and all the others will be displayed where I can see them. That's just something that helps me. :)

Ooh Maureen - what a nightmare! I hate it when I finally get some time to myself and suddenly I'm staring straight ahead waiting for an idea to drop out of the ether!! I look at old cards I've done that have turned out well, or other people's cards that I love. Eventually something usually forms in front of me but it is a nuisance!!

Love how this card came together for you, all the elements are perfect!

Hugs,
Caryn xxx

I love this card! It looks like your mojo was working here.

When my mojo jumps ship, I usually take some time and look around on Pinterest. If my mojo is still gone, I force myself to CASE a card. usually that gets my creativity going again because I don't want to do a card EXACTLY like some one elses. It starts as a CASE but ends up something else. Even if it doesn't break loose my mojo, I get to spend some quite time in my craft room and I have another card to send to OWH so it is not a bad way to spend some time.

I still love the edger die and how you've been using it, even if Tony doesn't!!! Love the gingham/gingham!!! Wonderful card and wouldn't know the MOJO was on vaca!!! I had a three day weekend last weekend, no commitments, and still didn't stamp as much as my mind would have liked, so I know the feeling!!! I just try to step back, not actually try, straighten things around, spend time doing other things, surf the blogs, and hope, LOL!!!

Your card is very pretty!

My mojo left in December and I am just now starting to get it back! I looked at lots of other web stes and Card magazines. I even took a couple of art classes. Sometimes you just gotta step back and do something else. It will come back! You are way to creative for it not to!

Yep! Clearing my desk helps me too! It's amazing how fast things get burried! :) I love this, and now the edgers dies are on my wish list. I had them in my cart, and they got pushed out. My next PTI order for sure! Have a great day!!

I haven't had a working mojo in quite a while...I wonder if all these tips you're collecting will work for me. A clean up certainly couldn't hurt!
I do love this matching gingham paper and ribbon...and your perfect use of these sweet flower dies. Lovely card...everything IS going to be okay. Your mojo will go into overdrive soon, I'm sure!
