Good morning!  I had to laugh at today’s blog post.  It looks like I’m sending someone a text and I’m one of the last people on earth who does not text!  I know!  I just have no time.  I can’t text at work and if I’m home, call me!  If I’m out, email me!  Truth be told, my cell is usually dead in my purse.  That’s just the way I roll :)  I’m old school and love it :)  Now having said that, I LOVE these sweet text-like sentiments from My Favorites Things.  I’m using their sketch from last week to create a fun card that would suit any dear friend.  Now onto some fun finds I want to share with you.  Fellow Verve Diva Teresa has been enabling me lately with her fabulous lace trim.  I couldn’t resist one late night (up with my cough a few weeks ago) so ordered a whole bunch from The Funkie Junkie site!  Here’s the stash that came yesterday along with some white burlap and corrugated cardboard (I can’t believe I bought cardboard!! LOL But I did!).

Also, about a month ago, I found this fabulous little caddy at Winners/HomeSense.  It’s a discount store in Canada that’s similar to TJ Max in the States.  Right now I’m using it for a card display, but it’s so versatile that it might be used another way at some point.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Reports are done, but there are still a ton of things to do before the school year is officially over.  But I can see that sweet summer just around the corner!

Oh I do love that little shelf! I am always looking for fun items like that and then my hubby looks at me and says, "And where are you gonna put that?" Men, they just don't understand that I will find a spot!

I got an old coke carrier and gesso'd it last month and it is filled with trinkets in the 24 slots. LOVE it.

Have a great summer!

Darling card! I always admire stitching, probably because I don't do it myself. Great background for that typewriter too. I'm probably the last person not to own a cell phone!

I was not a texter until this year and I must admit I love it :) Great for a quick update or for touching base. Not my main mode of communication but a fun one :) However, nothing better than a phone call or face to face conversation!

Had to laugh when I saw the type writer as I remember those...oh my! Cute card using it.

Yeah for report cards being done!!!! Just 9 more days!! Hang in there :) DD is done today - eeek!!

What do you mean, you're old school?! I thought you were all over that new Timeline on FB ;) HAHAHA! I haven't changed mine either. I refuse.

This texty card, though, is super sweet! You're killing me with all that stitching....makes me wish I knew how to thread my bobbin so I could get my darn machine working (it keeps jamming despite reading the directions, I swear...)

Your new goodies have me laughing....it's funny what we find ourselves paying money for, hey?! Crafters are fantastic! If only I would USE my goodies...
