It's Your Day to Celebrate!
Hi friends! This is my card for the current Make it Monday challenge...oh my, challenge indeed! We are asked to use money somehow on our card. There are some super cute origami shapes you can make, but I live in Canada! We don't have "paper" money any more, but "plastic" money! Kind of hard to fold so I decided to roll it instead :) Check out our beautiful, but plastic, line up...
I had to ask the dh for a fifty...I thought the colour was perfect to go with my butterfly. I wonder if he'll miss it...HA!
Check out the cool window and holograph images we have on the new bills. I put mine over my Misti so you could see through it. Apparently you can write on the bills (48?).
Thanks for stopping by! Hope your week is going well :)

very pretty card! i just learned about the plastic money this week in the forum, but at least they roll well and they're such pretty colors too! nice strategy on getting the 50 lol! thanks for playing make it monday!
Maureen, this is so clever! Your butterfly is beautiful. Too bad you didn't ask for a yellow bill ;)
Very creative way to get the money to work. I didn't know Canada had gone to plastic money.. very cool. I live in Seattle.. guess it's time to take a trip north. :)
Terrific idea! I spotted a fellow Canadian right away, since it is coloured money ;) I sure would love to receive this card--it's fantastic!
Oh, how clever! I never would have thought of it! So cute!
How cool! That butterfly is just stunning! And how cool is that rainbow of Canadian bills? Wish ours was that colorful.
I think the hardest part of this challenge was working with the drab green of the American bills. Your solution for working with the new Canadian bills is perfect!
Your butterfly is stunning! what a great design and idea to roll your money! I especially like all your texture and patterns.
This card is fantastic and so creative! Your plastic money is so colorful...love that. And I love how you figured out a way to use it on your card.
I hadn't heard about the new Canadian bills. They are beautiful, and make a stunning butterfly body, but I fell sorry that you can't do money folds anymore. I wonder if the U.S. Is thinking of going to plastic?
Your card is gorgeous, Maureen. How lucky to have so many color options to work with. Plastic money sounds interesting.
Perfect, matching bills to your card palette!
Such a fabulous card! Love your money!!! Plastic, really?
