Let Every Heart ~ Viva La Verve

Celebrating Your Birthday ~ PTI Blog Hop

Hello friends!  It's been quiet around the blog as I finish up report cards and get back into the studio!  Of course, I had to take time to play along with the PTI Blog Hop...I just can't stop staring at this inspiration photo!  The problem with such a gorgeous image is that there is always TOO much inspiration.  I had 2 different cards on the go, but they just weren't coming together so I put my favourite elements together and came up with this one.  Always happy to sneak in some (Canadian) maple leaves :)

It seems I've been going back and forth between Christmas and Fall cards lately...kind of like the weather we've had here in BC...cold, warm, SNOW, melting snow, falling leaves....repeat! HA!  Acorns are so cool and sweet...I chose this darling acorn paper to make my son's birthday card.  The woodsy vibe and simple layout lend themselves well to a masculine card. Peace and Joy ~ PTI Create Along with Us

Hey friends!  I'm enjoying our long weekend with some inky time in the studio.  It's PTI release week so we get to CASE a project that's inspired us for the Create Along with Us challenge.  There were so many I loved, but decided to create a card inspired by Melissa's gorgeous masterpiece...



 ...don't be surprised if this snowflake set winds up in my shopping cart on the 15th! HA!  I used the sets and dies I had already.  Thanks for stopping by!

 

I Love Dawn Blog Hop!

It's no secret here on my blog that I am a HUGE fan of Dawn McVey and have been so even before her PTI days.  Her talent and beautiful spirit are captivating and she shines inside and out.  I am happy to join in this PTI Blog Hop to help support her recovery from her recent transplant surgery.  So far everything has been positive and with our prayers and cards (!) she will continue to improve each day. 

 It was kind of hard starting this card.  I sometimes don't do well trying to make the perfect card...so I made a list! HA!  This card must have: bright colours, inspirational sentiment, some stamps Dawn created, and bling (that's for me!).  I think I got it all in.  There were so many scripture stamps I wanted to use but settled on the one above and this one for inside the card.  Sometimes you just have to make a decision and go with it!

 Many of you may also have seen these photos of me and Dawn in 2011 as I post them often!  I think it is most appropriate to post them again.  Here's wishing Dawn a speedy recovery and sending her all my love and prayers :)
