Just Because ~ Make it Monday

Happy Fri-yay everyone!  Yes, I've adopted the Fri-yay!  Is it out?  Am I dating myself?  Nonetheless, it's my favourite day and I'll celebrate it old school or new school or any school! HA!  Popping in with a card I made for PTI's Make it Monday challenge, make a shadowed sentiment.  Easy enough!  I'm CASEing an older card from Laurie Schmidlin that I fell in love with last year.  I just love the embossed gold on top of the leaves.

 

 Yes, I did make a second card...actually, I made 6 more!  Two in this colour (Limeade Ice), two in bermuda bay (SU), and 2 in raspberry fizz :)  They all look great with the embossing.  Hope you are enjoying your Fri-yay!  Yippee!

It's Your Birthday! PTI Blog Hop

Hello friends!  I am back creating for this month's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop after missing it last month.  We had a house full of family and fun and there was just no inky time to spare.  Not to worry, though...there is always THIS month! My card was inspired by all the fun colours and party hats.  I was tickled to find this patterned paper in my stash and went for it!

AND...yes, expect it...my second card!  Never one without two :)  I only had one party hat sheet so I went for a cupcake one :)

This Just In ~ The Card Concept

Hello everyone!Today starts a new challenge over at The Card Concept challenge blog based on the picture below...
 

I was dying to use my new PTI set "This Just In," so I took some colours from the inspiration photo to create a fun "Classy Shabby Chic" card!  LOL  I just added things that I loved to it!  What style would you say that is?  Doily Chic?  HA!  I hope you'll head over to The Card Concept blog to see all the different interpretations from the Design Team then join in the fun!  Have a great day!

Thanks ~ Create Along with Us

Hi friends!  I fell in love with Laurie's pink sensation and HAD to CASE it for PTI's Create Along with Us challenge. 

 

AND because I need to make two cards at once, I made it in blue as well :)  I didn't have any of the stamps or dies that Laurie used, so I used what I had on hand.  I made my own little frame with a stitched rectangle die and the scalloped oval die from PTI.  The frame looked a little flat to me so I embossed it with a delicate folder.

Long Enough to Love You ~ Viva La Verve!

 Happy Friday, everyone!  I'm starting off the weekend with a couple of lovey - dovey Valentine cards using some extra sentiments to make sure the ones I love in my life know it for sure!  I'm using the current Viva La Verve sketch so be sure to head right over there and play along for some awesome Verve goodies!  AND, because I'm still trying to make 2 cards at once, here's my second take...

Be Mine ~ Make it Monday

Hello friends!  Popping in to share my take on this week's PTI Make it Monday.  Melissa is challenging us to create an embossed background with a stencil.  I'm using Reverse Confetti's heart stencil and some heat and emboss powder along with some prisma glitter.  The "Be Mine" sentiment is from the all-time great "Heart Prints" set.  It's still a winner!  Thanks for stopping by :)

New Year's Mantra ~ Viva La Verve

Happy New Year, friends!  I have been AOL these past few weeks... just enjoying a house full of company, then cleaning, then reading, then having lazy mornings.  However, I am now taking some time to warm up the studio and start creating.  I found my one word for the new year, "calm."  I thought this sentiment from Verve's Winter Peace Digi was perfect to express my new mantra for 2018.  I'm using a brand new Viva La Verve sketch and some more Verve goodies to create the first card of 2018!  Head over to the Viva La Verve blog and play along this month!  Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Wishes ~ Make it Monday

I am always thrilled when we get to replay PTI's Make it Monday challenges at the end of the year (or in this case, the beginning!).  I fell in love with Betsy's water colour stencil background card (challenge #282)  so much that I bought the stencil she used just because of her card.  I did my best to CASE her card and then made another one with different colours and a snowflake theme.
