We usually showcase some old Verve during our Inspiration Hop, but with a new Verve release just around the corner, we're peeking a brand new set, Get Together.  It's full of delightful tea and coffee cups that fit some of our older dies!  I love when that happens!

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

If you are a teacher like me, then maybe you see apples and primary colours when you look at the inspiration photo! LOL  I sure did!  We have one more month of school left and I have a few teacher thank you cards to make to thank the teachers who were mentors for me this year as I started teaching Grade One again after 14 years :)  I couldn't wait to make my first apple shaker card with my PTI dies.  Look closely at the confetti...they are tiny letters and numbers from the PTI pencil shaker die set.  So sweet!

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!  This card uses the new Viva La Verve sketch for this week.  I wanted to use this half doily and this particular sentiment from Stronger Love so I modified the sketch “slightly” to fit what was in my head.

Believe Deep Down ~ PTI May Blog Hop

Greetings friends!  Thanks for stopping by!  Today’s card is for the Papertrey Ink’s Blog Hop.  We were asked to make something inspired by this colourful photo…

This one took me awhile to figure out what shape I wanted to use. Then I wanted to try out my new curved dies.  I curved the sentiment from the Happy Hearts set to match the curved line.  Things were a little too CAS for me at that point so I tried out some extra numbers I had on my desk.  Oh, then it became a grad card!  I love it!  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the hop!

The Beauty and Joy of Each Day

Happy Friday everyone! I had another request for a custom made card for a retired colleague’s daughter.  Though I’m still taking one last course and teaching full time, I couldn’t say no.  I always feel so honoured when someone asks me to make a card for a special occasion in his/her life.  This card is for my friend’s daughter’s 30th birthday.  I didn’t take a picture of the inside, but it has a “30” cut out in gold foil and then “amazing years” stamped in black ink.  I’m using the fabulous sketch from Stacey over on the Viva La Verve sketch blog.  Check out some more samples and then join in the fun!  Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday ~ Make it Monday

Hello!  This week for the Papertrey Ink’s  Make it Monday, we were asked to fussy cut something out.  We’ve been spoiled with dies, but sometimes we have to fussy cut like I did for the sentiment.  Friendly Flower got some inky love again for this one as I build up my card stash again.  It’s a slow process that I hope will be rectified once July hits :) Thanks for stopping by!
