Christmas Cheer

Hello friends!  It’s the Canadian Thanksgiving and the house is finally quiet after hosting the family turkey dinner last night.  I snuck down to the studio for some inky time and am still here after 4 hours!  I just couldn’t STOP!  It’s the Monday of release week for Papertrey Ink so that means the Create Along with Us challenge is on.  After looking at all the projects made so far, I chose Betsy’s card HERE to CASE.  I’ve used the Fancy Flakes dies and the Christmas Cheer and Brushed Off stamp sets to give the flavour of Betsy’s gorgeous card.

October always has a bit of glamour and intrigue to it. A stroll through the craft store this time of year brings visions of glitzy pumpkins, gilded candelabras and rhinestones galore. So this month we’re challenging you to to get glamorous with black, white and metallics. Use the inspiration graphic or go off on your own tangent, just share a little bit of glam with us!

How fun is this challenge!  I need a birthday card for my sister whose birthday is on October 30 and know she won’t mind the Halloween Inspired colours with all the sparkle and glam!  I hunted around the studio for things that were “blingy” and came up with some glitter cardstock (the banner), silver glitter (the pumpkins, and some silver sequins.  Get your sunglasses out!

To have food enough and a place to dwell,

To find the comfort when things go wrong

In a bit of prayer or a snatch of song.

To know the pleasure a kind act brings,

To see the beauty in simple things.

To know good books and share their worth,

To plant bright flowers in rich brown earth.

To have true friends...this is living,

And reason enough for thanksgiving.

Clearly Besotted October Release!

Hi everyone!  I’m back with my last card for the Clearly Besotted Stamps October Release.  All the stamps and dies are on sale today over in the CBS shop so be sure to go and check everything out!  I told you yesterday about my turquoise and red Christmas kick and here’s proof of it again!  I added some gold in there for fun as well!  These darling mittens and sentiment are from the Stitched Mittens set along with coordinating dies.  These mittens remind me of the Canadian Olympic Red Mittens :)  I still have mine and they keep my little fingers toasty warm on recess duty days!  Thanks for stopping by and all your lovely comments on this Clearly Besotted Release :)  ox

Clearly Besotted Teaser Time ~ Day 4

Hello!  I’m back with another sneaky peek at one of the new Clearly Besotted Stamp sets to be released tomorrow, October 5th!  This fun Christmas set, Laugh Out Loud: Christmas, had me laugh out loud, literally!  I am all about buying myself some presents at Christmas ;)  This sweet little Christmas tree was coloured with my aqua pen and my Zig Clean Colour pens.  I added some Wink of Stella on the polka dots for a bit of sparkle.  I was pleasantly surprised that the print on the stamp fit perfectly on the lined paper!  I am on a turquoise and red Christmas card kick right now.  Thanks for indulging me!
