Your Own Kind of Beautiful ~ Make it Monday

Hi everyone!  I've been in the studio off and on this week...playing, creating, and feeding my soul.  Today's two cards are for PTI's Make it Monday.  I was inspired by Laurie's glittery butterfly and choices of pink.  I used a glue pen and prisma glitter...haven't used that in awhile!  Needless to say there is glitter around the house now! HA!

May All Your Wishes ~ PTI July Blog Hop

 Hello friends!  I'm back with my take for the PTI July Blog Hop.  This first card is actually the second card I made.  I wanted to make a real clean/neutral card for the hop.  This next one is actually the first one I made...not so clean/neutral because I was having fun with some new patterned paper :) I'm also updating my photo background...what do you think?

 There was a lot of stamping off to get the lighter shades for both cards.  I thought my scrap paper looked kind of cool so I thought I'd share!

Happy Birthday ~ Make it Monday

Hi friends!  Today was my day in the studio to play with this week's PTI Make it Monday.  We were asked to make an embossed resist shadow sentiment.  I finally was able to purchase the Quilted Tag die set...it was always out of stock when I had an order ready, then once it was in stock, something in my cart would be out of stock.  I had to wait very patiently, but I have it now :)  I visited Dawn McVey's blog to come up with some colour combinations for her gorgeous Gran's Garden set.  She is a master of colour for sure :)  Thanks for stopping by :)

Hello friends!  I woke up early today to do a workout (P90X3) and finish this card I started yesterday for PTI's Create Along with Us.  I fell in love with Michelle's gorgeous card below...
 


 I used some OLD and new stamps to recreate the Michelle's layout...Background Basics - retro and Birthday Basics along with Gran's Garden.  I really love this colour combo :)  Thanks for stopping by!  Now it's coffee time!

Happy Birthday ~ Curtain Call Inspiration

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge over on the  Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.  This time we’re inspired by this photo…

 The surf boards made me think of waves which made me think of PTI's Waves Coverplate.  I watered colourd some paper using 3 different blue Zig markers then cut out it out with the coverplate.  Then I cut another one out of white card stock and placed some watercoloured ones back in the white one.  My favourite part of this card? Guess!  Those birds! HA!  Seriously, everytime I stamp them, they just kick up the card a notch.  Cool :)

Verve July Release Day ~ Day 4

Welcome back to Day 4 of Verve's July Release Spotlight Hops!  It's an exciting day as there's new Verve in the store this morning! Three beautiful new sets and coordinating die sets just released and they're all available in the shop right now. Oh, the day we get to use ANY set is hard for this Diva...which one?!  I wanted to make a bookmark with this darling sentiment so that's what I did.  I used 3 sentiments from Happiness Is and the word "coffee" from Always Time.  Then I added some of those darling flowers to the background with some fun sequins in the middle :)  I attached the bookmark using some non permanent dotto tape so the recipient can remove it and use it!
