Good evening!! Wow, things seem really quiet around blogland lately...spring is really busy, isn't it? Tonight's card is for 2 challenges...I'm using Mercy's fabulous sketch this week for Verve's Ready, Set, Stamp challenge. This is the second of such challenges that Julee created a month or so ago. The first challenge used the Delightful and Delicious set. I was fortunate to have just purchased this Up, Up and Away set last month (to get free shipping to Canada!! LOL) I didn't think I was a hot air balloon type of girl, but it's always a good set to have around...especially now with this challenge!! I saw a double layer of this My Mind's Eye cloud paper and then just kept adding layers...it was really fun to create this little sky scene. The kraft card base is embossed with swiss dots...if you click on the picture, you will see them more clearly :) A beautiful bow would not work behind this cloud panel so I opted for twine and a bow :) Okay...it's Friday tomorrow and a long weekend here in Canada! What could be more fun? Thanks for stopping by :)

Great card, Maureen!! Love the paper pieced balloon and the sun is great with the bling in it. Twine is a perfect touch on the card! Have a great long weekend!!
Great paper and awesome dimension!! Love your rounded corner and sunshine! The bling is perfect.
Long weekend?! No fair! We have to wait until the weekend after (and then I get a week off!) I dunno which of our school hoilday structures works best! Maybe we should take your summer hols and our holidays through the rest of the year?! LOL!
Anyways, I digress! A fabby card, y'see even when there's no ribbon, there's always twine ;D

Aimes
