To Love and Be Loved

loveandbeloved

Good morning!! Wow, here we are with another new week.  I’m thinking if you are a friend from the States, you more than likely have today off :)  Happy Martin Luther King Day!  We do not have a special day until Spring Break…it’s a long haul from Christmas to March!  But the days are getting longer and Spring is around the corner.  I had a fun, fun day in the Studio yesterday (one good thing about freezing rain…keeps you at home!).  I got all lovey dovey again, creating a card for Karen’s Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge with some new and old Verve stamps, seam binding ribbon and a silver doily.  The large tag is stamped with a sweet sentiment from Feel the Sun and the little tag is stamped with Verve’s new Swirling Hearts and Sweet Treats.  The silver doily was a little too much by itself, so I punched out a circle of text patterned paper to soften all the silver.  Well, that’s it for me today….thanks so much for spending a few moments here…I really appreciate you visiting and leaving some love :)  Have a fabulous day :)  {p.s.  Head over to the Verve Blog for Day 2 of the Diva Dare challenge and then create something yourself…I DARE YA!! lol}

I hear you re: the long haul at the beginning of the year. Spring Break is late and Easter is even later this year!! Spring better be nice is all I can say LOL.

Darling card. Good call on the doily and loving all the pinks. Sorry to hear you had freezing rain - nasty.

Sadly, I'm a friend from the UK so no day off for me. But we do get a week off in 5 weeks time so I'm not complaining too loudly ;D
Ooooh there's a lotta love on this card, Diva! Still soooooooo jealous of your seam binding skill - you make it look so pretty!
Hugs,
Aimes

Oooh, LOVE! The silver doily is so much fun, but I really love the added touch of the text in the center. And a tag upon a tag... Genius!

I was a lovely day off here, and I definitely made good use of it. January-March would be a long stretch! I always feel that way from the first day of school to Veteran's Day in November... No holidays! We have another staff development day next week and a few more holidays between now mid- Feb and then a long stretch to spring break in April.

I realized that I have never answered your question regarding my blog makeover... It was quite easy (I had someone else do it for me, lol). I do not have any design programs (or the talent) to create my own banners, so I hired a lovely gal to do them for me. I found her through Shannon Tuebner's blog. She was wonderful to work with, all I needed was a little patience rather than instant gratification. It took about a month to get up and going, but she installed it all for me as well. She designed the whole thing based off of some basic questions I answered for her and after looking at my blog/card style. There's a blinkie for her blog/website on my blog if you want to see what else she's done. :)
