Good morning!! Today is my Diva Dare post over on the Verve Blog but I thought I’d share it here as well and add a bit more about who is getting this card and inspiring tag set. The Dare this month is to make a card and actually SEND it to someone. I knew exactly who I wanted to send a card to. If you’ve been a regular blog reader, you know that my dear blog friend, Janelle, has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. She is presently going through radiation and chemotherapy to help shrink the tumor. She has been very open and frank about her journey on her blog, Show and Tell. Janelle and I became good blog friends after her random act of kindness to me well over a year ago. It was during a PTI Blog Hop. She had used some lovely music sheet paper. I had commented on how cool it was and she said she would send me some. We have kept in touch through our blogs ever since. The joke between us is that when we haven’t checked each other’s blogs for a few days, we don’t need to comment on every card…but dear Janelle usually does…and I get “mad” at her and remind her that it’s not necessary, just one general comment will do. But that’s how sweet she is :) I was inspired to make her set of uplifting Verve phrases totally CASEing her project she made back in March. I thought it was the sweetest, most thoughtful little set of cards, easy to tuck into a purse or suitcase and ready to comfort in times of stress. I am not going to list all the Plain Janes I used for this project…but you can see all the VERVE Plain Janes here :) I’ve also used a stamp from both Hope Blooms and Serenity.
Here' they are all put together with a key chain and some coordinating ribbon.
After making the tag/card set, I made the card. I added the “you inspire me,” because that is what Janelle has always done with her positive attitude and heartfelt craft projects and now with her great faith and strength during this very serious and difficult time. Please keep her in your prayers.
Thanks so much for visiting today. The Diva Dare continues until 9 PM MT on Sunday, September 11 to make your own card and post it HERE. If you have any questions about this project, please feel free to contact me :)
what’s in them?

These are beautiful Maureen! I just love how you combine patterned papers! Perfect!!!
Fabulous set of tags, Moe! What a lovely idea and your card is fabulous too. I'm sure she will treasure them and thank you for your friendship and support :)
Hoping yesterday went well for you and you have a good group of kids. B got a great teacher - J's teacher in 6th grade and poor J had a really tough day in HS yesterday. Broke my heart to hear her crying on the phone...today should be much better as no pictures to mess things up. Enjoy the glorious sunshine!
I love how you made the tags into a little mini-book. I pin your work quite often to my Pinterest account...you do such amazing things!
Maureen, Did you see Janelle's post from yesterday? She made another set herself...to me...that means more than anything how much she will appreciate these from you. I'm sure your faith and support is giving Janelle strength. She will be so thrilled to receive these from you and they are absolutely beautiful and most importantly so heart felt. You are a treasure.
What a wonderful gift, Maureen! So beautiful and thoughtful. Love all the wonderful details.
