Keep Your Face to the Sunshine

sunflowersketch

Good morning!  It’s official…I’m back at work!  To start off a new school year, I thought I’d share the 2 cards I had published in the August CARDS issue.  I’ve always loved this sentiment and so happy that this card was picked up.   Here’s the “professional” shot …

ITS WHAT SUNFLOWERS DO by Maureen Plut

I was tickled as well that the card was featured in their online newsletter and recently on their Facebook Page :)  My only disappointment was that the ribbon got a little mangled en route…and I’m a stickler for a perfect bow!  UGH and LOL!  This next one was in the travel section…that is one blinged out airplane and I love it!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope your Tuesday is lovely!  Wish me luck!

Happy Tuesday and back to school day! Love that blinged out airplane...too cute...and just the way to travel in style. Both cards are fabulous! True Moe style.

Absolutely gorgeous, Maureen! I always look for your name, when my magazine arrives! LOVE your style! And I totally understand about the bow ;). One time, a gemstone got lost off one of my butterflies. The poor thing looked so sad. Have a blessed school year!

You have the Cards cards down to an art. Love them both. Shame on them for mushing up your bow!! The blinged airplane is too fun!! Hope your first day goes smoothly :)

They messed up DD's Art Class we need to see if they can switch it for her and hoping to get out of a French teacher's class. HOpefully it all works out.

They're beautiful! I'll have to check them out in print and look through Suzanne's issue :) I would have never noticed the bow you stickler, you ;) Hope your first day back was great!

That sentiment is the sweetest, Diva! Such a happy and cheery card! Ha, I think we've both suffered the squished card en route to magazines: my vintage card suffered a wonky sentiment strip and they photographed it that way! I wanted to fly over there to tweak it back! LOL!
Hugs!

Both of these are beautiful! I know what you mean about seeing your bows once they are in print and have been through transit..

Hope you had a wonderful day at school!

Hope you're celebrating a successful first day of school, and that your class is full of cute little munchkins! :) Love both cards, especially the sunflower one. I'm sure it's wonderful to be published, well deserved too!

Maureen, it is easy to see how they were published..great cards!
Knowing you are a teacher, did you happen to see today's (Sept 5) post on the Penny Black Blog? The is a super-cute Snowman card that might possibly be a fun project for your school kiddos, not that you with your creative mind would need suggestions--just thought of you.
