Home is Where the (Turf) Is

homemaureenplut

LOL, good morning!  I couldn’t help that post title.  As I was typing it up last night, I deleted “heart” and put “turf” as that is all I can think about right now.  We have 4000 square feet of turf sitting in the back yard ready to roll (literally!) this morning.  We’ve moved 90 yards of top soil…for those of you who don’t know how much that is…it’s a whole humungous pile of dirt! LOL  I now know how much it is…around 6 small dump trucks full :)  So this card is very appropriate today, although I don’t know how much my heart will be in all this manual labour ;)  I’m more of a die cutter, ribbon tier kind of gal ;)  HA!  I’m using Chupa’s sketch today in celebration of her 100th Sketchbook Saturday Sketch!

SS100

I broke out one of the newest Clearly Besotted Stamp sets, Home Sweet Home, and matching dies.  I thought this gorgeous Fancy Pants paper was the perfect match to these fun images :)

Be sure to head over to Chupa’s blog and help her celebrate this fantastic milestone!  Thanks for visiting and wish me luck with the turf!

Maureen, as always your card is super cute and beautiful (I so love your style!), but I enjoyed your turfy story just as much as the card! Good luck - hope there will be some time left of the weekend to get crafty as well (that is if you can still move your arms!)

Wonderful card and new stamps! I hadn't seen these yet! Another thing I have to have! HAHA!!! Don't work too hard - You are bringing back memories for me - I am so proud now when I tell my kids my hubby and I put down every roll by our selves!

Love the title of your card is wonderful. I can fully empathize with the turf and dirt LOL, but on a much smaller scale as we turfed our back yard and helped our neighbour do his. But 4000 sqft - oh my!!! Good thing you work out or you would be in traction for a few days afterwards ;)

Hot bath with epson salts at the end of the day and make sure you drink lots of water as you work -- said in my best mommy voice ;)

Sure it will be well worth all the hard work when it is all done and look fabulous :)

I used to work in a landscaping company which specialized in rolled grass so I know exactly what you mean, girl... I don't envy you for sure! lol!
Have a nice relaxing bath afterwards, spoil yourself, you'll deserve it like it's nobody's business! :)
Thank you SO much for squeezing in this stunner to help me celebrate - you're a STAR!!
