Verve June Diva Inspiration Hop

kindwordsmaureenplut

Welcome to Verve's June Diva Inspiration Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's hopping time again! So climb aboard Destination: Inspiration for a fun trip through Verveland today. In addition to a comment prize hidden along the hop, we're debuting our June inspiration challenge as well! Play along for another chance to win!

Our June challenge is Winged Whimsy:

Let your creation soar by featuring wings! Think butterflies, birds, feathers or related sentiments. Celebrate the beauty of flight! Whether you draw inspiration from the graphic or fly a solo mission, let's see some winged beauties!

My added inspiration came from a world renowned social and emotional expert, Linda Lantieri. I had used a couple of her articles in my Masters paper then saw her name in our local newspaper advertising her keynote address last week!  I introduced myself and we chatted for a few moments about SEL (social and emotional learning) and what I should include in my paper.  She was directly involved in helping children recover emotionally from 9/11, has written many books and articles on SEL, and is truly the essence of compassion.  She spent time in Calcutta with Mother Teresa so I thought this Kind Words sentiment would be perfect on the card I intend to send her.  I’ve added some extra words from Wings of Love on the side to reflect the three things that are important, “(believe) faith, hope, love,” the greatest being “love.”  If you want to read more about about Linda, here’s a link to her website.

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines, and a little bit about our brand new Diva!
