Season’s Greetings

seasonsgreetings

Good morning!  It’s full on Christmas Season in the Studio and I’ve been having great fun getting reacquainted with my old Christmas sets as well as some new ones :)  Today’s card uses this week’s Waltzingmouse Stamps Sketch with a non traditional colour palette and few little surprises! LOL  Notice those poinsettia leaves?  Adding green ones wouldn’t work with my colours and kraft didn’t make that big of a contrast.  Now you know my little trick of using a Starbuck’s sleeve for tiny corrugated shapes…but how about the reverse side with the printed text! HA!  I flipped the leaves over after the corrugated side looked to plain and was very happy with  the text…especially the one on the top right “Very Hot!”  EEK! How fun is that?  Are YOU making Christmas cards right now?  I’m not one for starting the season this early, but cards are another matter if I want them delivered on time :)  I’m usually a season at a time girl and right now it’s still FALL y’all! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day.

November Verve Diva Inspiration Hop

theLordisCome

Welcome to our November Verve Diva Inspirations Hop!  On Friday night, Verve released their holiday collection of stamps and today we're putting on our monthly hop to inspire you with a fresh mix of old and new! So grab a drink and hop along as we share a little Verve with you!

I’ve chosen to give some much needed inky love to two previously released Christmas sets, Richly Blessed and Star of Wonder. Oops!  I just noticed that the “the” is under the ribbon in my photo!  LOL  I was trying so hard to keep the ribbon up for the photo and then didn’t even notice it had fallen down again! I’m blaming those lovely little aqua jingle bells! HA!  I’m using this week’s Mojo Monday sketch.  It’s prize week, so you have lots of chances to win some fabulous Verve!  Can this Monday get any better?  Yes, it can…

…there's another great little prize involved on the Verve Blog too! A random commenter on one of the hops will win our entire new release, so be sure to leave a little love in the comment section as you hop about! You can find out all the prize details over on the Verve Blog today.  Good luck!

May Your Christmas be Blessed

Christmasbeblessed

Good morning!  Ah, an extra hour of lounging this morning!  I love it!  My peeps over at A Passion for Papertrey have a super fun and motivating challenge this week: ink up the sets we had to have, but haven’t used yet.   I went straight to my Christmas sets and yep, sure enough, there it was…a brand spankin’ new Christmas set from last year that was supposed to be used for my official cards.  I remember, however, that I got distracted by the Wonderful Words: Holiday dies and the rest is history.  So last night, for the first time, I inked up Star of Wonder, one of Dawn’s beautiful sets.  To help get the mojo going, I CASEd one of Dawn’s gorgeous cards from last October found HERE on her blog (scroll down to the third card).  That’s all from me!  I’m off later today to my first Christmas Craft Sale :)  Hope your Sunday is lovely :)  Thanks for stopping by!

Verve Holiday Release ~ Day 4

HolidayGreetingvlvnov2

Good morning and TGIF!!  It’s our final day of the Verve Holiday Release Spotlights which means there’s a party tonight on our SCS Forum at 9:00 PM (EST), 6:00 PM (PST/Moe time)!  It’s also a new month of Viva La Verve sketches so I’ve used Diva Amber’s sweet sketch as my inspiration for today’s sneak peek.

Our last set is a fun and whimsical set loaded with holiday images and sentiments.  I’ve used one of the SEVEN sentiments that fits perfectly  into the mini bookplate die released last August AND its coordinating frame image from the Borderline set.  I’ve also used one of the TWO snowflake images to stamp lightly over my sentiment and a bit bolder on the oval shape.

Verve Holiday Release Spotlight ~ Day 3

joyousnoelday3

Good morning! We’re back with another sneak peek!  Today we are spotlighting the new set, Joyous Noel AND the new plain jane, Joy to the World.  I love showing you how the new stamps fit perfectly onto previously released dies and stamp images, one you may already have or will need to get! (sorry for enabling!). I’ve used 2 stamps from Joyous Noel to create my sentiment that fit perfectly on the Tagged Rectangle die and its matching image in the Tag Time set.  I’ve also used the sweet poinsettias from Joyous Noel to make some sweet poinsettias as well as to compliment the main sentiment.  I don’t know about you, but “JOY” is one of my favourite words all year long!
