Sending You Sunshine

clearlybesottedsendingsunshine

Hey y’all!  Good morning! I’m back with another card using the new Clearly Besotted set, Blooming Marvellous!  We are full on into Autumn right now and nothing says Fall to me like sunflowers :)  I die cut the banner from some balsa wood and stamped the sentiment right on it!  Wood is good!  A little clothes pin makes sure that sweet sentiment doesn’t go anywhere :)  I also lightly stamped the leaves on the stitched panel for some visual interest.

Thanks so much for visiting and be sure to check out the Clearly Besotted store for more eye candy…you can also follow the sets on Pinterest HERE!  Have a blooming marvelous day (teehee, pun intended!).

Clearly Besotted Stamps Guest Designer!

Logo

Good morning, friends!  I have a very special post today.  Stephanie Wincott contacted me in the summer to see if I would like to be a Guest Designer for her new stamp company, Clearly Besotted Stamps.  Now, I have been a fan of Stephanie’s ever since discovering her blog, Stamping & Sharing, on the Papertrey Ink Forum so I really wanted to be a part of her new adventure.  She sent me some stamps and “OH MY GOODNESS,” it was love at first stamp.  When I first get stamp sets, I lay them out on the counter and get a little “zen” going…hmmm, which stamp gets inky first?  This gorgeous flower image spoke to me the loudest and then I inked it up.

The line on this flower was so sharp and crisp and stamped perfectly the first time with my Rose Romance Stampin’ Up ink.  I’m in LOVE!  Then I wondered how the little butterflies would look on some of my Studio Calico wood veneer butterflies.  EEK!  Cool!  If you haven’t been over to the Clearly Besotted Store yet, head right over…AND ‘cause I know you Canadians want to know…it took FOUR days for these stamps to get to me from the UK!  Now THAT is something to cheer about!  I’m hoping to get a little more inky with more sets today…you may even see a Christmas card soon! ACK!  Thanks for stopping by and big thanks to Stephanie for letting me celebrate this wonderful adventure with her :)

My Home is Wherever You Are

IMG_6079

Good morning!  I’ve got a fun and sweet card to share today based on the Moxie Fab World’s Tuesday Trigger this week :)  I was drawn to the houses, colours and diagonal line :)  It made me think of the Memory Box Country Landscape die I picked up last winter but hadn’t used yet.  My diagonal triangles were created with my new PTI bead die.  I don’t think I’ll ever make beads with it, but I sure will use it for a cool graphic effect!

The weather is changing this weekend and so it looks like I’ll get some more inky time after running the regular Saturday errands.  Have a lovely weekend and thanks for visiting!

Thanks Ever So Much ~ CASE Study #112

Good evening friends!  Welcome to a new week of inspiration over on the CASE Study challenge blog.  We are playing with another card from the super talented Julia Stainton!  Yes, I think I have a little crush on her!  She has made some of my favourite Lilybee Designs paper!  Here’s her super girly inspiration…
112October11
Strangely enough I didn’t go all girly, girly!  I was inspired by the tape measures, the banners, the flower and the burlap!  I love this My Mind’s Eye School Dazy paper, so I made another teacher thank you card!  What comes to mind for you?  Head over to the CASE Study blog to see what the Design Team created, or check out their blogs below, then join in the fun!  Can’t wait to see your projects!  Thanks for stopping by!

May Sunshine and Laughter Brighten Your Days

sunshineandlaughtersffyt

How easy is it to smile after reading that sentiment?  I’m playing along with Jen’s 10th Sketch for You to Try.  I’ve been able to play all year so far!  This month’s sketch had some interesting panels.  When I’m not sure what to do with a shape, I start thinking of other shapes they could be.  The beautiful Fall weather we’ve been having inspired me to break out some fall colours, my sheets of canvas and PTI’s leaf print dies and stamps.  The week is flying by again…hope your “hump day” has a bit of “sunshine and laughter” in it :)

Happy Birthday ~ PTI Make It Monday

happybirthdayoutside

Good morning!  Well, it was a lovely long weekend with lots of extra play time in the studio :)  Having yesterday off meant I had time to explore the PTI sets that haven’t seen much ink since their arrival this summer.  I was determined to use these sets so this week’s Papertrey Ink’s Make It Monday was the perfect starting place :)  I wasn’t going to purchase the Desktop File set until I saw Dawn’s card HERE.  I pretty much CASEd her card to get the mojo flowing with this set.  The focus for MIM this week is to finish the inside of a card.  I freely admit I rarely do this as I sell my cards and need to leave them blank.  I find that the lovely people who purchase my cards want to write their own heartfelt note so they need lots of space.  However, it was fun to play with the colours and images from the front of the card to create some “wow” inside.
