What Can Be Enjoyed Today

Hi everyone!!  I took a small break from stamping...does a day and a half count?  LOL  It feels longer.  I've had a bit of a deep chested cough lately and lost my voice a couple of times so my energy has been zapped a bit.  I've had a few sketches saved that I wanted to get to, but wanted to do them justice so I waited a few days to tackle them.  Mercy put a lovely flourish on her sketch this week.  I don't have any bling flourishes (I know you don't believe that, but it's true!! LOL) so I tried to think of other flourish-like images.  The largest stamp in PTI's Turning a New Leaf fit the bill.  It's stamped in versamark and clear embossed.  I just love how the green goes darker when you do that :)  I used my PTI blossom die to cut out 2 flowers from some pretty pastel scraps.  The sentiment is from a new stamp set Hope Happens from Stampin' Up!  I love the sayings in this set.  Some buttons and bling and gorgeous satin ribbon and there she be.  We are finally having a lovely day of sunshine and warm weather...I hope you are having the same :)

What's in it?
Stamps: PTI turning a new leaf; SU Hope Happens
Ink: versamark, SU choc chip
Paper: PTI kraft, cream, spring moss; turning a new leaf dp; SU choc chip
Accessories: stitching, fiskars border punch; PTI blossoms die, EK success small flower punch; gemstones; PTI buttons and ribbon; pearl; clear embossing powder

Oh-so-gorgeous! I love the contrast of the colors on your card today. That layer of brown really makes everything POP! And how can you go wrong with Turning a New Leaf?! That may be one of my all-time favorite sets. Beautifully done!

I'm so sorry to hear that you are feeling under the weather. A littler spring bug. I'm sending you warm, sunny, feeling-better thoughts! There's nothing worse than losing your voice as a teacher (though my kids usually get a kick out of it, lol).

You've done a great job with Mercy's sketch, Maureen. I just love the colours you used and the leaf is perfect :D Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well - hope some extra sleep helps you kick it out of your system.

I have been up until 1:00 a.m. for three nights getting all the M-Day cards done so I'm running on fumes today, but thankfully they are all done and delivered now - phew!! Can't wait to get some R & R this weekend and be able to stamp!
