check out my Verve blog candy here...
Good morning!!! Well, I survived my first day of unpacking...it was fine once I got into putting things away and thinking about the new school year. Today's card is for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch. I really wanted to use some of this K and Company dp that I picked up at Walmart a few weeks ago. It is so bright and cheery and is double sided...love that :) I kept it fairly simple...not a lot of matting, a few buttons and, of course, bling for good measure. How cute is that sentiment? It's from the just released "Birthday Bash" by Verve. This stamp has been staring at me all week...really, my stamps do that...how could I resist that fabulous font!? A half day in my class then off to a 3 day conference...I've scheduled a few posts for while I'm away....the extra cards I made for the Verve Release Party :) Have a fantastic day....
what's in it?
stamps: verve birthday bash, pti turning a new leaf
ink: versafine onyx, su kiwi kiss
paper: pti white, kraft, raspberry fizz, k&company dp
accessories: corner chomper, gemstones, circle nestabilities, stitching, pti buttons and twine

The extras, hey?! Glad to hear you survived, but we really might have to peel these new Verve stamps right out of your hands =)
A beauty as always. As I discovered last night, I really struggle with using patterned papers when they're not within my comfort zone, but you always have perfect paper!
Do your stamps speak to you too?! Mine whimper from the cupboards beggin' for inky love LOL!!!!
Ah you'll soon get back into the swing of things with work but I'll miss our summer blog posts - loved every mintue!
Hugs,
Aimes

P.S Love your button placement on that card - just perfect!
It's amazing how we learn to speak "stamps" LOL! Yes, they do have a way of staring you down or whimpering. It's killing me having to wait for my order to arrive. Good thing we are off to the Island for a few days so I can take my mind off it and if all goes well, they will be here when we get back.
You are the queen of DPs. Think I'll have to make a concerted effort to get more on my cards.
Love the bit of twine you used along the bottom and the buttons on the leaf (which I now own - yeah!!) are darling. Enjoy the conference - or at least the socializing part of it :)
gorgeous creations!!!!!!
Another great card, Maureen. I haven't had enough stamping time and my stamps are starting to scream my name from upstairs. Think I better go see to them. :) Have fun at your conference!
Love the single layers of patterned paper on this card with the white space and white circle. Cute buttons and bling! ;)
This is such a happy and pretty ccard! :)
