Mom

momcreate

One word today, very simple…Mom.  I didn’t really think about this one word until I uploaded the picture and actually looked at that one word.  {now the tears come}.  Some of you know I lost my mom about a year and a half ago to Alzheimers.  Life does go on, though I must say the hardest time is Mother’s Day and making these cards for everyone else’s mom but my own.  The dh loved this card and so has already claimed it for his mom :)  I couldn’t help but be inspired by the beautiful colour palette over on the CR84FN challenge blog.  One can’t get much yummier than aqua and cream.  Two colours I plan to use a lot of in the new ensuite!! LOL  Yay, it’s Wednesday and a short week!!  Wishing you a fabulous day and thanks for visiting!!

This is so amazing, Maureen and my heart ached for a minute after reading your post. I can see all of the love and feeling you put into this card. It may go to someone else's mom but it was made with all of the love you have for yours. Hugs!

Very beautiful card. I understand your feelings at this time of year. I lost my mom several years back... before I started papercrafting and I can't bring myself to purchase any stamps for Mother's Day... even now I don't think I could make a card for anyone else for Mother's Day.

Wow...I wanted to say your card was absolutely stunning but, it seems as though everyone is saying that! It really is GORGEOUS...
Lol, I was rather proud of my card until I saw yours...ok, I'm still kind of proud but, no wonder it's so hard to win a challenge when there is competition like YOU out there!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful card :)
Hope you have a wonderful Easter long weekend, Cheers!

This is beautiful - congratulations! I lost my mother to the same terrible disease years ago and I feel your pain. I think it's worse on the family and I am comforted to know that she was unaware of the suffering is with my father now. I realize those can be empty words but perhaps something to hold on to. Hugs ...
