Grant Me the Serenity…and some house pix!!

vlvjune2

Happy Friday morning, everyone!!  The week has proved to be VERY busy but fun.  There is a lot to do at work and with the house as we have to start nailing down decisions about flooring, lighting, etc.  More on the house later.  Today’s card is for the new Viva La Verve sketch brought to us by Diva Andrea :)  When I saw the large oval panel, I knew the exact stamp I wanted…I have always loved this prayer and have found it very wise and comforting when going through life’s many troubles.  Serenity, courage and wisdom…what more could one wish for?  Here’s the sketch and then an update on the house ;)

So I was complaining to  joking with the dh that my studio seemed smaller than he had promised it would be.  He said it’s HUGE and proceeded to measure it out at home to show me.  Then he loaded me into his truck and took me up to the house to prove it.  He was 2 inches off!!  No wonder it felt smaller! ;)  So we took some pics of me “working” in the studio…my main desk will be counter height in front of the window.  The photo under that is the view that night, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Here’s a photo of the basement the next day.  The load bearing wall is up! (And there was a flood in the studio!! LOL)

Here is what the basement looked yesterday morning.  The framers were there bright and early.  I’m thinking I will drop off donuts this morning to keep them all happy…and try to bribe them to make the studio larger!! LOL ;)

What a beautiful card! Perfect sentiment for that large, lvoely panel and the dies are wonderful choices. Great paper and as usual, lovely buttons and ribbon. Looks like you're gonna have the most amazing view from your studio!

Love how you combined the nesties on the focal panel. Think me needs Labels 18 LOL! Lovely mix of DPs and use of the sketch.

Looky at your amazing view from the new studio too!! I think I would be tempted to gaze at the beauty outside rather than work LOL! Keep those framers happy - it's amazing what they can do ;)

Here's hoping the report cards go quickly this weekend. Eeeeek, only 2.5 weeks left!! Hoping now that the kids are older I can sneak off to make a card a bit more often this summer. Time will tell :) Happy Friday!

Very pretty card! Loved how you combined the dies together...clever! Yep, 2" off is a lot for a craft space! Every inch matters to us! :)

Such a pretty, serene card, Diva! You rock both the bold and the pastel colours y'know!

Oh what a view you have from your studio - I think I'm just as excited as you about it all! Definitely bribe those guys to push the frame out a few extra inches (just think of the extra crafting stash you could squeeze in the extra space :D)

Have a super duper weekend, Diva!
Hugs,
Aimes
