One of My Nicest Thoughts

nicestthoughtpj

Good morning!! Hey, we’re all moved into my dad’s and the internet hook up was a breeze!!  The wireless was a little tricky, but I “Googled” our router and watched a 2 minute video on how to hook it up…good as gold now :)  I didn’t have time to participate in this week’s Viva La Verve sketch yet so I thought I’d share another card I made for the Verve Release last week.  I was so thrilled Julee chose a Georgia O’Keeffe quote…I just LOVE her and do an art unit of her with my kids each fall.  We focus on her BIG flowers, especially the poppies and paint BIG ones in  time for Remembrance Day in November :)  Today, dear friends, you are one of my many nicest thoughts.  I am hoping to get inky for the first time here maybe tomorrow…it looks like a bomb went off in my dad’s basement, but I have set up my light box and have my stamps close by…fingers crossed for the trial run!  LOL  I’ll be using Charmaine’s fabulous sketch shown here…

Hope you’ll join us over on the Verve Forum!!  Oh, and have you checked out my Blog Candy here?  Two more days to enter :)  Okay, I’m off to empty my fridge and freezer and say goodbye to the old house…sad, but I’m ready for a new one :)  Have a wonderful day…

So no need to get my guy over there to help with the wireless then? Shame - he was all packed up and ready LOL!
Gorgeous card as always; love those ribbon blooms - very fitting with the Georgia O'Keefe quote (I love it when we get to study her too - I'm a sucker for constantly choosing Red Poppy to re-create!)
Have super duper weekend! Hope you're both settling in OK with your dad!
Hugs,
Aimes

I am also an O'Keefe fan - who isn't!?! I love this card, as I do all the rest! I don't know how you manage to use so many colours and elements on your cards and they all seem to tie together and look just right?! Mine just look overloaded and busy if I try to add things!

I hope your move and transitional preiod go well - think of all the new fun and memories are waiting to be made in your new home :)

Well done on doing the router all on you own :D You go girl! Glad you have got your basic stamp room set up too. Remember moving once and thinking I would miss our place to which hubby told me it is only 4 walls, it is what is inside that makes it a home - how true :) Excited to see more pics of your new place.

Have a fabulous weekend. Last day of swimming lessons and HOPEFULLY today or tomorrow will be the last day the guys are here working on the water main...

Clever, clever girl getting yourself all set up in your temporary digs...I hope your dad is enjoying having you and Tony for a little bit! I love how you emboss your background panels. The pop of brown is gorgeous...are those the flowers you bought at Archiver's? I need to break open my small red ones!
