Wishing You Comfort, Janelle

wishingyoucomfort

Good morning, dear friends.  A quick post before I head back to my classroom and start setting up for the new year.  Many of you may know that a dear blog buddy, Janelle, has been going through a very difficult time this month (her BLOG here). I have been thinking about her constantly and praying that she will find comfort and peace in the days ahead.  She has enormous faith and has been so inspiring in her faithful posts and updates.  I was thinking of her as I made this card. I got out the more girlie papers from Authentique’s Uncommon paper and teamed it up with some old SU paper.  Loving the pink with grey :)  Next up is the card I did send to Janelle a few weeks ago after hearing about her diagnosis.  I hope it has made its way to her :)  Please, keep my dear friend in your prayers.  I know she (and I!) would really appreciate it.  Thanks so much :)

What a truly beautiful card, Diva! Those colours are so calming - match that sentiment to perfection :)
So sad to hear of Janelle's situation but happy to see that she is keeping strong with her faith and that super sweet cards from lovely people like yourself can only make her stronger!
Hugs,
Duchess!

Hi Maureen!
This is Britt, Janelle's daughter, and want to thank you for the sweet post and prayers... We all appreciate them so much. Also, I wanted you to know that she did receive the card you sent :) I put it up on the wall over the weekend!

Thanks again!

Both cards are beautiful and obviously heartfelt. I'm sure your friend will be touched by your kindness. I'll be sure to check out her blog myself--thanks for passing along the link.

Best of luck to you in setting up your classroom, and best wishes for a great new school year!

Nothing says I care more than a hand made card. I"m sure they will lift her spirits each time she receives them. I love pink and grey and you have used it wonderfully on this card. Great flower cluster too. Hope you can get things set up quickly this week so you can squeeze in a few extra days of summer :)
