Bonjour

St. Pat’s Fact: The very first St. Patrick's Day parade was not in Ireland. It was in Boston in 1737.In Chicago, on St. Patrick's Day, the rivers are dyed green. Mayor Daley is also of Irish descent. In Seattle, there is a ceremony where a green stripe is painted down the roads.

Good morning!  I am back at work today, but with a heavy heart.  Our government is still bent on stripping our contract and legislating us back to work with no negotiating…and that’s just the tip of the iceberg…but let’s get onto things that make Moe happy!!  Seeing my little monkeys today, St. Patrick’s Day (see the fact above!) and card making (see card above!).  This week’s Tuesday Trigger over on the Moxie Fab World blog really caught my eye and I couldn’t get it out of my head!!  If the inspiration photo was a card, I think it would look like my interpretation! LOL
  A is for Apricot
I think the inspiration is a little obvious, the colours, the lined paper, the 3 orange apricots in the bowl and the French word :)  If you look closely at the paper on the doily, it even has gold lines like the bowl in the picture :)  LOVE that!!  Hmm, I’ve a hankering for an apricot now!!  Have a glorious day and thanks for stopping by!

love the simplicity of your card - great design - especially like the patterning on the doily.

Love this clean take on the photo inspiration, especially the ledger paper you used and the trio of buttons. Big hugs to you today in hopes that things start to look up for you and your fellow teachers.

Perfect take on the insp. picture. The pops of orange are perfect! Here's hoping things get settled in a beneficial way.

I totally understand your mixed feelings. I, too, am a teacher in BC and am disappointed that the government is so immovable. Another stellar card!

Bonjour Mon Ami, I love your card today. It is simple and classy. Hoping your little ones gave you tons and tons of hugs today. Tomorrow's Friday and I think a glass of wine is waiting for both of us!

Love your card Maureen, very elegant. As for our government, they sure have made a mess of things. Perhaps B.C. will get it ... the importance of education and health!!!
