Happy Birthday

St. Pat’s Fact: The first year St. Patrick's Day was celebrated in America in 1737 in Boston, Massachusetts. The first official St. Patrick's Day parade was held in New York City in 1766. As the saying goes, on this day "everybody is Irish!"

Good morning!  Hey! There’s a new sketch challenge on the block!! Arielle from the colourQ challenge blog has created a new challenge from old “retro” sketches on Retro Sketches.  I just love the graphics on the sketch and was inspired to jump in and play along!

Of course, I can’t always follow the rules so I rotated the sketch :)  I had lots of fun making those sweet kraft heart borders with some MME Fun Day paper.  The pink graph paper was a cast off from another card but now works perfectly on this one :)  Thanks for stopping by!   Hope you have a wonderful day :)

YAY! GO BOSTON! I am not Irish, but I've learned to appreciate this special day growing up here. Your card is so cute - love the buttons and the paper you used to diecut those hearts!

I love that you turned the sketch on its side and added the scallop. I also like how the button is under the sentiment, that looks really neat. And of course the heart borders are awesome!

Oh--I love this!! I have that heart border die, but haven't used it with patterned paper--love that!

Just heard on the news yesterday about the teacher's battle in BC--not fun! We'll likely have our own drama here in Ontario come fall. Province is proposing a wage freeze, and 2 year halt on moving up the pay grid, and drastic changes to our sick benefits. I'll be writing a letter to our MPP soon!!
