Good morning! Those of you who have known me since I started blogging know my special fondness for Dawn McVey :) I started following her back in 2008 before she joined the Papertrey Ink Design Team and before all her wonderful future fame. Even back then, though, I knew she was destined for greatness. And for those of you, again, who visit regularly, you know that I met Dawn in July 2011 :) Here we are with my bestie, Lynn :)
So each year during the PTI Anniversary release, they ask us to make a card inspired by one of the design team members. I do love the whole team, but I always go back to Dawn’s cards and CASE one of hers. Can you blame me?
I kept the colours and layout pretty much the same, but used some patterned paper for the background, frilly flowers for the die cuts and a different sentiment from the set Dawn designed :) A few bling to remind me that Dawn got me hooked on gems 5 years ago! LOL And I’ve never looked back! HA! Thanks for visiting again today and celebrating “Dawn” with me :)

Fabulous tribute to Dawn :) Love her work and you have done a great job on this wonderful card! Love that big flower (still debating whether I can make that stamp and die set work for me) and the fun BG paper you used. Great card. Enjoy your short week :)

I just had to tell you, I broke down and bought Frilly Flowers and dies last night, because every time you make a card with them, I totally loved them! It was nice to do it when we got a little discount too! Hope my cards turn out as pretty as yours. :). Did you buy anything for the Anniversary month?
