Verve Spotlight Hop ~ Day 2

muchjoymaureenplut

Welcome to our July 2014 Spotlight Hops!  We're so excited to share some new Verve with you! The Divas will be spotlighting 3 new sets, a plain jane and a coordinating die set over the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled for some fresh Verve inspiration! Everything previewed this week will be available in the Verve online store on Friday, 7/11.

Today's Prize: Peaceful Medallions (illustrated by Chaitali Narla)

As soon as I saw these gorgeous medallions in the new Peaceful Medallions, I knew I wanted to do some white embossing and ink sponging!  So I started with inking both of the large medallions and some of the smaller ones with versamark and then embossed them with white embossing powder.

The the real fun began!  It was my first time using my new sponging tool and I just love it!

Did you notice that see through doily?  The only thing better than a paper doily is one made from vellum!  LOL  I didn’t want to cover up the paper I had just embossed and inked to I thought I’d make a vellum doily!
