Happy Sunday greetings, friends! I'm in the middle of a busy weekend, but mangaged to schedule a of couple hours in the studio today :) I made a list of cards to make and then thought about layouts and colours while doing other things. When busy, combine challenges! This card uses Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch but the colours are for Verve's World Card Making Day challenge. The challenge is to use a country's flag for colour inspiration. I chose Martinique's flag which is blue and white. I stretched the blue idea and made it teal. I use my old retired SU French Script background stamp to honour the French culture of Martinique. I also inked up this Verve plain jane for the first time! I love this sentiment :) The brown and kraft on the card represents the flag pole (that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!). It is a bright, sunny, but cool day here in B.C. My dh just called and is in Vancouver waiting his 5:00 flight home...he's in Canada! Finally! I can't wait to go pick him up...he's even getting homemade dessert tonight :) Talk to you soon!
What's in it?
Stamps: Verve plain jane; SU french script
Ink: SU teal, choc chip
Paper: PTI white, polka dot dp; SU teal, choc chip, kraft
Accessories: SU ef, gemstones; satin ribbon

So pretty! I love the color combo and the bling!
Gorgeous! I love how you paired the French Script background with the embossed paper and plain jane. Very nice!
Always beautiful creations and this one's no exception. The colors are perfect and such a beautiful combination of textures. Awesome card, Maureen!
Beautiful card! very elegant.
Beautiful!
Wonderful colours on this card, Maureen. I love these sketches and have only managed to make one -- just not enough hours in a day, especially with some mass production needed recently. Have a great day and do some dancing for me at the wedding!!
