Greetings!!! Or I guess I should say, "Hi-ya!!" If all has gone well, I am basking in the gorgeous beauty of the Sunshine Coast here in Beautiful British Columbia. The dh and I have been looking forward to this little getaway for some time...hopefully we'll get some salmon fishing in and lots of fresh seafood dinners. In preparation for my absence, I have this little card and a few other posts coming up...so check back every other day or so :) When I first drew these colours, I was about to put them back as I thought it was too much like the WaCCCky #4...but I had to stay true to the challenge and it really only has 2 of the same colours. The new house rule will be "if there are 3 or 4 of the same colours, redraw all the colours." (I love making up the rules!! LOL) I put these 4 colours on my desk for a few days...thinking of different patterned papers that would work. Then I put them on my desk and started to move them around. I really like the terracotta against the blues and berry sorbet. The flower layers were die cut and then crimped for a bit of different texture. Moe "likey!" LOL Thanks for popping by...have you tried pulling your own colour combo? I would love to hear about it:)
What's in it?

Nothing wrong with this colour combo. Love blues with oranges. I put in my PTI order yesterday so Turning a New Leaf will no longer make me turn green with envy when I see it on other people's cards LOL! Flower dies were sold out so had to pass on them :( Consequently ended up getting the med and large scalloped dies instead.
Hope you're having fun on the Sunshine Coast, Maureen! I'm in the Sunshine State right now at my MIL's. :) Love the card, as always! You do a great job with your wacky color combos!
What a beautiful and very classy card. I noticed you used an ocean theme with your colors, blue and the "pink" for the salmon. Must be your holiday talking to you ! Hope you caught lots of yummy fish, salmon is my favorite.
great card. love that color combo!
I hope you were basking away in the sunshine =) Lovely card.....you can do anything with a color combo!
All right. I missed the last two challenges, and was determined to play along with this one. Is it terrible to admit that I actually liked this combo? And I LOVE your card! You absolutely ROCKED these colors! I definitely leaned on some Kraft paper to help me along. :)
Here's mine- http://ittybittypieceofme.blogspot.com/2010/07/sweet-sunday-sketch-78.html
