The Song in Your Heart

Happy Monday!!! LOL  How many times have you heard me say that?  Only on holiday Mondays!! LOL  It's my first "official" day off and it's been wonderful :)  Today's card is for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.  I couldn't resist that horizontal panel and immediately thought it would be so cute done as a cork scallop :)  Not many pieces for this one, so the punch had to be the circle element.  I got these K & Company fabric brads on clearance at Michaels.  They are adorable, I just wasn't sure how to use them...then "poof" this sketch came up :)  Picking a flower colour was fun too...something to contrast against the Berry Sorbet card base a bit.  I couldn't decide on which orange to use, so I used both!! LOL  Some fun purple twine and voila :)  This is my all time favourite friend sentiment.  It was one I used years ago to thank several friends for helping me through a difficult time.  They all knew the song in my heart and kept refocussing me...those are true friends :)  Have a lovely afternoon :)

What's in it?
Stamps: Inkadinkado (Dawn Houser), pti turning a new leaf
Ink: su choc chip, perfect plum
Paper: pti cream, berry sorbet
Accessories: pti medium scallop die, prima flowers, K& Company brad, cork, twine, corner chomper, seeing spot cuttlebug ef

I agree - that sentiment is fabulous! Going to have to pick it up somewhere - think Mike's has it, or at least they did at one point in time. Hmmmm....maybe we can have Julee make it a Verve stamp!!

Love the cork scallops. Actually found some in a dollar store the other day so will have to use it - gasp, can I actually use something trendy when it is still a trend LOL!

On the hunt for that EF! Just LOVE it!! Trust Tony enjoyed his hug :D

Man Maureen you've been coming out with a lot of good stuff! Love it all! Great work with all the polka dots. So jealous you are getting all that time in the studio. Sorry I haven't been around much. Busy preparing for another job interview and enjoying a good read. Hope you're having a great summer so far.
