Just Because ~ Viva La Verve October #2

Good morning, sweet blog friends! I'm in a happy mood as I had a pretty good day yesterday...the kids were somewhat calm and focussed and one of my little monkeys was working so hard and trying his best :) I also ordered a few goodies from Papertrey's new release...just being a good neighbour and helping out the U.S. economy :) Today's card is the second October sketch for Viva La Verve's Fridays with a sketch. The twist this week was NOT to use brown or orange as it's all Amber (the challenge host) has seen lately on Fall cards. GUILTY!! I've actually been enjoying those colours, but not today :) So here's two other colours I love...teal and razzleberry. I embossed the fleur de lis image with versamark and clear embossing powder. I was tempted to use an embossing folder on the card base, but left it blank so the main panels really pop. I hope everyone has a glorious day and thanks for all the kind comments you leave...I really appreciate all the good cheer and encouragement you send my way :) Next card....Mercy's challenge :) There may have to be some orange and brown as I want to use my new PTI patterned paper...I promise it won't make your eyes hurt!! LOL

What's in it?

Ink: versamark; SU perfect plum; Versafine onyx

Ohhhh....I love these two colors together. I don't even have any Razzleberry yet. I really must get on that! Your buttons are the perfect touch and the embossing is a wonderful addition. Perfect bow...no surprise there! FABULOUS! Glad you're in such a good mood - it puts me in a better one, too =)
I really must order some PTI one day. Their shipping is what keeps me from doing it.

Great Verve Sketch card, Maureen. Love those two colours together and the embossed Fleur De Lis is wonderful and I like how you tied it into the sentiment. Nice touch with the buttons. Great card.
