Papertrey Ink World Card Making Day Challenge

Happy Monday, everyone! It's a short week for me as I've taken Friday off to travel to my nephew's wedding. It's the Canadian Thanksgiving, so we'll get next Monday off as well. I'm really looking forward to it as my whole family, minus one niece, will be there...even my sister from Austin, Texas!! My son and his girlfriend will be flying there so I will have all my favourite people in one room!! Today's card is for one of the challenges by Nicole this weekend. The inspiration comes from Japan. I immediately thought of my old Bamboo stamp and PTI's green tea leaves. I chose this sentiment as it reminded me of the Japanese culture...simple things that mean so much. I put two flowers together to try and make a lotus flower...I really like the simple lines of this card. This is the last of my challenges for World Card Making Day...I was able to fit 3 in and am happy with that :) It's a busy, short week and I hope to share a couple of wedding cards for my nephew. Have a wonderful week!!

What's in it?

Stamps: PTI Heart Prints Sentiments; SU bamboo 2

Ink: versamark; SU Choc chip

Paper: PTI springmoss; green tea leaves dp; SU kraft, ruby red

Accessories: flowers (Michaels); PTI springmoss button; linen thread

Beautiful, Maureen! You really caught the spirit of the challenge in my opinion! I've got the same long weekend as you and Thursday cannot come fast enough!

Oooh you've really got me thinking I should add that DP to my next PTI order - it looks fab contrasted against the Kraft! Definitely a taste of the Orient - yummy!
Wish we could have a Thanksgiving over here, if not for the day off work for the food and family! Hope you have a fab one!
Hugs,
Aimes
