The Fairest Blossom

Hello!! I get so happy when I'm finally able to use a stamp for the first time. That's what happened with this lovely sentiment from Verve :) The fact that it was also offset just right so I could fit the Blooming Button Bit flower also made me happy :)

I paper pierced around the blossom and leaves inspired by this post over at Betsy Veldman's blog. The card was just a little too flat for me so enter a nice piece of cream ribbon :) Oh, I forgot to say that this is for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch!! LOL I love the large, simple panels and LOVE Karen's sample :) Hope your week is going well. We are gearing up for Valentine's Day and the start of the Olympics!! Then next week is 100 day!! All this will take me into report card writing :) And then it's SPRING!! Have a wonderful day :)

Great take on Karen's sketch, Maureen :D Love the flower by the sentiment and great colour combo.

We got up at 5:45 so we could go see the Olympic torch relay that started about 5 blocks from our house!! I'll be paying for it later today as I am NOT a morning person, but it sure was fun being part of the excitement :D

Oh, I love the colors on this one. The red, blue, and green play off of each other really well! I think that little flower is the one stamp I have yet to ink in my button bits set... Now I really need to ink it up! Isn't this time of year crazy? We were all lamenting that January went by quickly, but February goes by even more quickly! We have a four day weekend due to President's day down here in the US, which makes it even crazier! Though, I am looking forward to the days off. :)
