To Thine Own Self Be True

Good afternoon, my dear friends. It's a great day in B.C., Canada...we won our second gold medal in women's snowboarding cross and both Canadian curling teams won their first games :) (I'm a huge curling fan!). Today's card is for the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge. The movie is Clueless and the challenge is to add plaid in honour of 90's fashion. After seeing that my own personal mantra was one of the suggested themes, I printed it out from a Word document and then picked some of my favourite PTI plaid dp as the required element. I had hot pink on the brain to contrast against the orange plaid and made one end a scalloped curve. The ribbon was originally going to be bright green, but that wasn't one of the challenge colours so I opted for blue. Another crumpled blossom filled the empty sentiment panel. Mmmmm, love that sentiment. It's from Shakespeare's Hamlet. I have it on a tile plaque in my kitchen so I can see it everyday. It's also my New Year's resolution each year :) Are you watching the Olympics? Do you love the beautiful scenery of B.C.? Come visit!! Have a wonderful evening. Thanks for stopping by :)

What's in it?
Stamps: Verve bountiful backgrounds

Paper: PTI raspberry fizz, white, raspberry fizz and autumn abundance dp; SU really rust, pumpkin pie, Making Memories Lovestruck

Morning Maureen (it's 2.25am here!) loving your card! A real mixture of patterns but it totally works. That quote is wonderful, we should recite it everyday!
Loving the games (it's why I'm still up at the ridiculous hour!) and the scenery! Our next holiday is hopefully to Vancouver B.C, we ♥ Canada. Done Toronto a couple of times so it's only fair to visit the West Coast right?

This is great Maureen! I would love to see it with the bright green ribbon too. (not that I don't like the blue) Do you actually have to stick with all of the suggested colours? I'm surprised that green as wasn't on the list. I saw quite a bit of it in the movie.

Great layout and I'm loving the Olympics! I got to see that Gold medal snowboard run and it was fantastic!

Great flower, Maureen. Going to have to get those PTI polka dots some day too. Great sentiment and there is your pop of blue again :D

I was thinking of you today as the Canadians won in curling. My in-laws are here today and they love it as well. I actually got to see the gold medal win too - she took the lead and never looked back - love it :D Can't wait to get downtown and take in the energy and excitement of it all! Come on down :D
