When I first saw this stamp set, I knew I wanted to create a watercolour background over white embossed hearts. Then I started layering different elements (doily, tag, cardboard hearts, and sequins). Then I chose my favourite sentiment from Just Breathe. I may have to keep this card for myself! LOL

what’s in it?
Hello friends! Today’s card is one of a set of seven cards I made for a coworker this week. A few months back, she saw THIS card and wondered if I could make a similar card for Christmas x7.
She’s sending them to family outside of Canada so loved the homage to Canada (the sweet maple leaf behind the poinsettias). I made sure to make them up as soon as I had the time and before report card season (next month). She got them yesterday and was quite delighted :) Here’s the whole set…
Though there’s a layer of die cuts, some sequins, and twine, they are fairly flat and I think they’ll be fine in the mail with standard shipping rates :) Thanks for stopping by! Come back tomorrow with some more new Verve!
Hello! Well I’ve got all the holidays mixed up on the blog this week! I’ve been switching back and forth between Halloween and Christmas and loving it! I never know what’s going to come out of a creative inky session! Today’s card was inspired by the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop photo…
I took some of my favourite elements of this photo and put them in my card…the red frame of the box, the traditional colours, some greenery, the TAG (my fav!), some twine, and a kraft background. It’s been a while since I used traditional colours for Christmas! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the hop! I am amazed and inspired every month!

what’s in it?
Hi everyone! Popping in with a quick little thank you card I made last week. I was channelling both Dawn McVey and Debby Hughes for this one. I’ve got major cardmaking crushes on both these ladies and am happy to say I’ve met both of them! Yes, I’m name and photo dropping today! HA! I love all the watercolouring Dawn has been doing with maple leaves this season and am over the moon loving how Debby uses vellum to add sentiments like I’ve done here with Clearly Besotted’s Fancy Sayings.

Good morning! It’s voting day here in Canada! I find it hard sifting through all the political games, promises, and mud throwing to make an educated vote, but I do try my best. One thing I do love is that I live in a country where I am free to vote and I that is what makes me feel good on voting day :)
Today’s card has nothing to do with voting! HA! I made it at the same time I made Friday’s Viva La Verve card last week. I needed a bunch of birthday cards so made two at a time! Have a great day and may we see a change for the good here in Canada tonight!
