Happy Birthday

TGIF everyone!  I’m not THAT excited about this Friday, though.  It’s report card writing time so I have that on top of homework due next weekend :(  I’m just glad the Olympics is over, however, we now have the Canadian Men’s Curling Championship (the Brier) here in town!  UGH!!  It’s a perfect storm!  Good thing Spring Break is in 2 weeks.  I guess I’ll sleep then!  LOL  Up today is a new sketch over on the Viva La Verve Blog.  Head over there for more samples and all the deets on how you could win $100 in Verve dollars!  Have a great weekend!  Now where are those jelly beans!  LOL

A Very Happy Birthday ~ PTI Blog Hop

Hi everyone!   I was tuckered out after the PTI Anniversary challenges but happy to join in to the Blog Hop again this month.  I was a lucky winner last month, wonder if I can do it again this time!  My birthday card stash is coming along and I may be able to switch to baby cards soon!  LOL  I’ve fallen in love with Dawn’s Ruby Rose set and used her May 2013 card for inspiration (see it HERE).  This month, Nichole is asking us to be inspired by Spring…easy enough for me, it’s my favourite season! Celebrating Your Birthday

Hi everyone!  I’m heading into a crazy busy 2 weeks, so I dug through some pictures of cards I made a few weeks ago :)  This one was for a colleague’s husband.  He turned 60 this month and she wanted a special card for him.  I had that fun ticket on my desk for the longest time, so I was happy to add it to this card.  She loved the “metal” look as she bought her husband a huge tool box!  I love coincidences like that!  Have a great start to your week!

More Than Love ~ Viva La Verve

Where There is Love ~ Jam Paper & Envelope

Hi everyone!  I’ve got a fun post today for y’all!  Nikki at Jam Paper & Envelope contacted me awhile back after seeing one of my cards.  She asked if I would like to use some of their product on a project.  How did she know that I love paper supply stores and am always on the look out for something I could use on a card?  After perusing their online store, I chose the Kraft Gift Tags and hot pink Paper Clips.  The tags are super sturdy and are the perfect canvas for a great stamped sentiment or image.  

Here’s a close up of the stamped tag.  I’m using a sentiment from the recently released Verve set, More Than Love.  I purposely stamped it to the right to give it a more artistic look.  The twine is the original twine that I tied into a bow :)

Good morning!  Well, I feel like I have an Olympic curling hangover!  LOL  I’ve managed to watch most of the Canadian men’s and women’s games either live or a few hours later :)  Both teams have made the playoffs so it will be a super exciting week!  So while I was watching a recorded Canada vs USA game, I made this card for the Festive Friday challenge.  How’s this for CAS?  I bought this gorgeous embossing folder (see link below) back in December thinking it would be perfect to make some fast and flat Christmas cards.  However, with such a busy timetable, it never got used…till now!  This may be my card design for this December!

Desires of Your Heart

Hello!  TGIF!  I thought it would be fun to unwind after work with a little inky time and one last card for the Papertrey Ink Anniversary challenges.  Today we are asked to make a pretty package for our card.  I could not settle on a certain stamp or colours or anything so I pulled some things from one of Michelle Wooderson’s card kits.  I love all the little bits of loveliness she puts in these kits.  I added some PTI felt hearts and sentiments :)  Have a great start to your weekend!

Yes, happy birthday!  I know it’s Valentine’s day, but as I’ve been saying for the last 2 weeks, I’ve been in desperate need for birthday cards!  AND I’m all pinked out if you can believe that! Love Begins in a Moment

Hi everyone!  We’re enjoying Family Day here in BC which means some of us have today off to drink coffee, do homework, watch the Olympics, and get inky! Not necessarily in that order! LOL  Today’s card is for the next Papertrey Ink’s Anniversary challenge.  We have to use a word die so I pulled out one from the One Liners set.  I love the detail of this die.  I had some grey leaves leftover from an idea gone wrong but I think they are perfect tucked under the tag :)

You Bring Joy into My Life

Greeting everyone!  I’ve got another card for the Papertrey Ink Anniversary celebration.  Today we’re making birthday cards to wish PTI a happy 7th birthday.  I chose some fun images and then stamped my little heart out.  We’re also asked to take a photo of ourselves with our card…here I am in my favourite space ;)
