Verve’s February Diva Inspirations Hop

findpeacemaureeplut

Welcome to Verve's February Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's hopping time! This month we've got a bloomin' good challenge for you along with our usual inspiration! So in addition to a comment prize hidden along the hop, you can play along with the challenge and link up your creation for a chance to win another prize!

Our February challenge is Floral Fantasy:

DIHFeb2014InspCh

I was in need for a few sympathy cards so I picked one of my favourite Verve flowers and kept the colours soft with a pop of pastel.  I’ve used flowers from Great Friend and Joyful Blooms, the leaves from Bloom and Grow, and a sentiment from New Mercies.  To make the background paper, I stamped the flowers in Versamark for a subtle look.  The coral flowers are stamped in Groovy Guava ink onto Groovy Guava paper.  To give the card a little more dimension, I bent the flowers and leaves up.  It’s amazing how much something so quick can add to a card!

Moe this is so subtle and heartwarming! Love the stamped layer and the beautiful blooms and leaves with their bling centers. I am shocked that you didn't tuck in another tiny sentiment like you always do. Stepping outside the box, are we? Regardless, it's perfection.

I am not a big fan of orange but I sure am a fan of it on this card. The gray and orange look great and I love the background stamping. Well done.
