Dream Big ~ Viva La Verve 2016

Happy Friday everyone!  It's the first week down in 2016 and I'm celebrating with a card using the first Viva La Verve sketch of the new year.  There are a few changes to the challenge this year...only 2 sketches a month, but 2 prizes instead of one!  Woohoo! Here are more of the deets...

We'll draw TWO winners at the end of each month.
Winners will receive a $40 gift voucher to the Verve Store.

Here's what the new schedule looks like:

1st Friday: Sketch 1
2nd Friday: Recap of Sketch 1
3rd Friday: Sketch 2 posted
4th Friday: Recap of Sketch 2
5th Friday: Winners posted
(if a month only has 4 Fridays, winners will be posted on the 1st Friday of the following month)

Other than that all the same RULES apply.  Feel free to link up as often as you like. Verve Stamps are not required, but we do LOVE to see them! :)

I had a few patterned paper circles on my desk that I thought would be perfect for this sketch.  Then I grabbed  Bloom & Grow for the leaves (my go to leaves for most cards!) and Sparkly Dreams and the Elegant Leaves Die for the sentiment and butterfly.  Some Pink Sparkle Sequin Mix help turn up the shine on this happy card that hints of Spring! Yikes!  I hope your weekend is fabulous!  I have a glass of wine waiting for me after work!  Cheers!

Fusion 2nd Anniversary Guest Designer

Hello friends!  I am thrilled to join my bestie, Lynn, over on the Fusion Card Challenge blog to help celebrate their 2nd Anniversary.  I chose to use both the sketch and the photo!  However, I wasn't quite ready for flowers, so I opted to use snowflakes instead!  Pink snowflakes!!  You betcha! LOL  This card is for my sister (also named Lynn) next week.  I hope you can join us over on the Fusion Card Challenge blog.

PROCEDURES:
1. Play with just the sketch challenge.
2. Play with just the inspiration photo challenge.
3. Or you can create FUSION by combining BOTH challenges into one card.
4. Use the challenge graphic and link back to Fusion in your post.
5. Please read the other considerations on the Our Rules Page before playing along.

Thanks for stopping by!

Clearly Besotted January Release!

Hi everyone!  I’m back with my last card for the Clearly Besotted Stamps January Release.  All the stamps and dies are on sale later today (10:00 BST) over in the CBS shop so be sure to go and check everything out!

I couldn't fall asleep right away Saturday night.  I was thinking about what to make for my CB release day card.  I wanted to use the You're Purrfect stamp set and was thinking about pairing it with another CB stamp set.  Then "Eureka!"  A frame using one of the Sweet Sentiments Plus popped into my head.  I haven't had that happen for a very long time.  I'm sure I've seen this idea somewhere before so I by no means take credit for it.  The next day, I created a lined grid frame to guide my stamping.  The sentiment is about 3.75" long so that's about as long as my square panel is.  I used the largest of my Spellbinders Nested square dies.  I'm sure glad I never got rid of those in my crafting purges!  I chose pink and yellow for a cheery colour combo and added one of the sweet sentiments from You're Purrfect.

Thanks for stopping by and all your lovely comments on this Clearly Besotted Release :)  Head over to Stephanie’s blog for some more inspiration and the Release Reveal contest!

Clearly Besotted Teaser Time ~ Day 4

Greetings everyone!  Only one more day until the Clearly Besotted January Release is available!  Today I've used Miniture Florals Collection 2 to make a watercolour tag.  I left the watercolour really loose over this pretty floral image, picking up the colours from my patterned paper.  A splatter of clear and shiny sequins adds some sparkle.

Clearly Besotted Teaser Time ~ Day 3

Hello friends!  I'm back today with another Clearly Besotted teaser as we countdown to the January release on the 5th.  I created my own background patterned paper on kraft with some of the fun images in Some Birdie Loves You.  Then I created the focal panel with two cute parrots and a sentiment embossed in white.  I sure love the way the red and black looks with kraft!

Clearly Besotted Teaser Time!

Hello friends!  It’s a brand new month so that means we’re sharing some Clearly Besotted teasers with you as we countdown to the January 2016 release on January 5th! This first set, Jump for Joy, is perfect for Valentines or showing that special someone how much they mean to you.  I had a vision of these two sweet froggies surrounded by a heart so I went with it!  I love how they are holding each others hands...do frogs have hands?  LOL

I was inspired by the blue and white, always a classy combo when it comes to winter.  My new snowflake dies and stamps arrived from PTI this week, a gift from the DH!  I just love all the different styles of snowflakes.
