It's Just Like You to be So Nice!

Happy, happy Friday, sweet friends!! Yahoo! It's my favourite day of the week and the Olympics start today :) No, I am not travelling to Vancouver (although it's only 3.5 hours away). The best seat in the house is my couch with my sweetie or at my sister's with the big screen and PVR (Canadian version of TiVo). Today's card is inspired by this post over at A Creative Mint. You must go there and check out the inspiration pages...and drool!! I love this colour combo and thought it would work well for Mercy's sketch this week. I finally got to make one of those paper blossoms that have been all the rage. It's fun, but very bulky...so this is the kind of card you hand deliver or put in a bubble envelope. I also wanted to use some new stamps from PTI's Big and Bold. Have a lovely day :)

Thanks ~ Viva La Verve Sketch

Good morning! Today's card was made for the Viva La Verve sketch that came out last weekend. I have always wanted to make a layered shimmery flower like Julee and many of the Divas have made over at Verve. The only problem is I am not a cutter. I find it tedious, requiring a lot of patience, much like colouring (hence you don't see a lot of that here either! LOL). But I love the look of these layered blossoms so I went for it. I also added some prisma glitter to the second layer...the colour inspiration is from this photo...

I love the splash of aqua on the woman's sweater...my card has more than a splash but I so wanted to use the aqua ribbon...yummy!! The "thanks" sentiment was my free stamp that Julee adds to her orders...every order has a different stamp...how sweet is that? I just love that personal touch :) Yay! Tomorrow is Friday and I have a date night lined up with my Valentine :) Have a wonderful day and thanks for dropping by :)

Thanks So Much

Still with me? LOL This card is for all my blog friends...thanks so much for hanging in there with me as I post too many cards at once...what one will do for the slim chance of being the one in 1700 that will win some PTI!! LOL Dawn's colours are up for my last card entry. I'm using the lovely butterfly die from SU...this must only mean one thing...spring is near :) Supplies for this card are either PTI or SU...please email me if there are any questions. Have a wonderful evening :)

Wish Big

Hello!! If you've just arrived here you are in the middle of my Papertrey Ink crazy trio posts!! LOL The design team has come up with their favourite colour schemes and I couldn't help myself...supplies will not be posted, but most are PTI and Stampin' Up! I really wanted to use the Star Prints set for these colours...just something that got into my head...I need to use this set more :) Okay...one more to go :)

Tomorrow is a New Day

Good evening, everyone...please excuse the multiple posts tonight...but it's the PTI third anniversary celebration and as much as I didn't want to get too wrapped up in all the hoopla, I am semi-hooked. This is the first of the three posts tonight and I think it's my favourite :) Inspired by Nicole's colour palette...please note the Holiday Cheer dp :) I brought it out and think it's perfect...Christmas or not!! LOL I won't be posting detailed supplies so if there are any questions, feel free to email me :) Most of the supplies will be Papertrey Ink and/or Stampin' Up. Onto post 2....

The Fairest Blossom

Hello!! I get so happy when I'm finally able to use a stamp for the first time. That's what happened with this lovely sentiment from Verve :) The fact that it was also offset just right so I could fit the Blooming Button Bit flower also made me happy :)

I paper pierced around the blossom and leaves inspired by this post over at Betsy Veldman's blog. The card was just a little too flat for me so enter a nice piece of cream ribbon :) Oh, I forgot to say that this is for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch!! LOL I love the large, simple panels and LOVE Karen's sample :) Hope your week is going well. We are gearing up for Valentine's Day and the start of the Olympics!! Then next week is 100 day!! All this will take me into report card writing :) And then it's SPRING!! Have a wonderful day :)

Hope Your Day is Fabulous!

Good morning, everyone!! Today's card is for the Card Positioning Systems (CPS) sketch. They have teamed up with Papertrey Ink, helping them celebrate their upcoming third anniversary. I so wanted to use some more of my Cosmo Cricket Early Bird dp. It's quite the busy paper, so the main panel needed to be fairly plain. Just a little row of bling and a felt flower in honour of PTI coming out with lovely 100% wool felt. Are you following the new releases? They are just amazing!! Now if they would only announce a Canadian shipping warehouse where there would be free shipping and no duty I would be in heaven!! And even one for the UK and my blog buddy, Aimes :) Well, that's all for today, and even though it's Monday, I hope your day is fabulous!!

Stamps: PTI signature greetings
Ink: SU choc chip
Paper: PTI vintage cream, summer sunrise; SU riding hood red, choc chip; Cosmo Cricket dp
