Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #47

Hi again! Here's my card for the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge. The movie was Forrest Gump. I loved that movie! So many famous lines to be inspired by. I googled "Forrest Gump quotes" and came across this one by Jenny. It's when she and Forrest are running away from her father when they were children. She prays, "Dear God, make me a bird so I could fly far, far away from here." I took the bird image then searched for an inspirational quote about life, using a bird metaphor. When I read this particular one it made me think of Forrest Gump and how he used all his talents dispite all the odds against him. I think that's what makes his character so endearing. The requirement was to have something brown on the card...easy enough for a girl who loves chocolate!! I'm guest designer for next week's challenge...it seems only fitting that I was GD for the last week of school and just before the first week. Hmmmm. I'm setting up my classroom starting tomorrow so I may not be posting daily...I'm hoping every other day? Thanks for visiting :)

This is so beautiful, Maureen. I felt so sorry for her in the movie when she was saying that over and over. I love the quote that you used on your card.

After you sign into your blog, go to the edit pencil in your comment. Highlight the part that you want to link. Go to the icon that looks like an earth with a pencil above it. click on it and a box will appear. Put in the address of the page that you want to link. Hope that helps. I didn't know how either until someone told me how!

Beautiful as always! I love the look of the mustard on white... another combo to try one of these day. Have a good first day setting up your room! I'm headed back in for one last day of set-up before my kids come on Tuesday. :)

That's so stunning - I love your color choices. The quote is so perfect - I can totally see why you're the Guest Designer for next week - can't wait to see what you do!!

What a very beautiful card. The colours are stunning together. What I like most is the amount of thought that was put into it and the story of how it evolved.

My cousin told me the ending of the book and I think I would've been a little sad if that had been the movie ending. All that waiting.. =(

The Lovely Bones is a great read - well, I thought so anyways. If you haven't bought the book, I could just mail you my copy =)

Beautiful Creation. That part of the movie stuck with me too. Funny how some movies can make you run the emotional train-laughing to crying.
