Good morning!! Okay, I need to qualify the title post!! LOL Amber's first challenge of the month was a doozie!!! It sounds great at first until you start thinking about and trying to make a card to fit the requirements. We were only allowed to use 1 embellishment (punches, though, were not considered embellishments), 2 colours of cardstock with your choice of 1 neutral, and 3 stamps. The one embellishment was almost the death of me!! Especially when this panel just screamed for a line of rhinestones under the sentiment and a few buttons on the punched snowflakes!! But after 5 days of thinking and over 2 hours of constructing, I came up with something I kind of like (although I'm adding bling after this post!! Hahaha). The 3 stamps are from Verve's new Christmas in the Air (2 snowflakes and sentiment). The 2 cardstock colours are Vintage Violet and Aqua with a white neutral. The 1 embellishment is the ribbon. I pushed the envelope by using 2 punched snowflakes for the circles and added patterened paper (she didn't say anything about dp!! HA!). But sometimes the struggle is good, eh? Have a fantastic Saturday :) Do something good for yourself :)
What's in it?
Stamps: Verve Christmas in the Air
Ink: SU vintage violet, soft sky, black
Paper: SU vintage violet, PTI white; aqua shimmer, white glitter; Pebblesinc dp
Accessories: cuttlebug ef; circle nestabilities; MS snowflake punch; SU 1/4" circle and horizontal slot punch; PTI satin ribbon

It turned out beautifully, Maureen! You could seriously get away with no changes to this! The sentiment in the white circle looks great! You must be making good headway on your Christmas cards. One last weekend! Enjoy!

You're such a rebel Maureen! LOL. I think the card is beautiful just the way it is.
I think it turned out beautifully! I love it!
You are too funny, Maureen. Amber did indeed make up for the lack of a twist on the prior sketch!! The 1, 2, 3 twist was a brain burner and I LOL at your comment about adding a row of bling under the sentiment after the post (I fully agree with you!). I think you did a great job, and the snowflake DP is fabulous! Now on to week two...I haven't done cracked glass in years!!
BTW, just rememberd I hadn't answered a question from a few posts back. The Verve sketches began in Jan of this year. Have a great weekend :D
What a cute card!!! The ribbon is so silky looking!
Oh you're funny....this is GORGEOUS!! And it IS the most wonderful time of the year =)
