Remembrance Day and Christmas Blessings

Good morning, ladies! Before I begin with today's card, I would like to share a beautiful little video that was played at our Remembrance Day ceremony yesterday at school. I had never seen it before and it really choked me up....it's very thoughtful and puts remembering our veterans and soldiers in a modern context. If you have 5 minutes today, please view Pittance of Time (have a tissue ready). Now today's card...it's for Mojo Monday. I struggled a little on where to put the sentiment. I'm not sure if it should be where I put it...but there it is!! I love my poinsettia nestabilities :) To make the leaves, I used my maple leaf nestabilities!! LOL I thought they were a good substitute for poinsettia leaves. A little stitching, a little gingham ribbon and there you have it!! I'm spending most of the day in the studio :) My last hurrah before settling down to do reports. I hope today, you remember all the blessings in your life thanks in part to the men and women we'll never meet :)

What's in it?
Stamps: PTI Signature Christmas
Ink: SU baroque burgundy
Paper: PTI avocado, cream, spring moss, scarlet, holiday cheer dp
Accessories: poinsettia and maple leaf nestabilities, stitching, pearl brad, paper clip, ribbon, silver cord, SU petals a plenty ef,

What a wonderful video link, Maureen. Thanks for posting it. I cry at every Remembrance Day ceremony the kids do at school -- when the Grade Ones lay their hand made poppies at the foot of a wreath, when the video or slide show is shown and when the bag piper plays Amazing Grace. Having a dad that served in WWII makes it very real.

Love your mojo card. I love the poinsettia and your maple leaves look great as leaves!! Lovely embossing folder you used and the sewing is a lovely touch. Great card.

Gorgeous as always. I just got the poinsettia nesties and now I really need to break them out. :) The little ribbon tied to the "swirly clip" is adorbale and such a great substitute for that half circle!

I would love to send you my address and be on your Christmas list. :) I was actually going to ask you the same in another week or so. I'll send it on a pm at splitcoast.

Have a wonderful day-off!

very beautiful poinsettia! The leaves were an excellent idea! I'll have to get out my little swirly clips. I have bunch of them but never think to use them.
